Newcastle United’s owners injected a further £95million ($127.8m) into the club as equity in October, filings at UK Companies House show.
Fans should not get too excited about this cash injection and its proximity to the January window. Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) and the Reubens are not ploughing in money ahead of a guaranteed mid-season splurge (January reinforcements may well arrive, but they will potentially need to be funded by exits).
But what this latest cash injection does show is that, despite understandable concern with Newcastle's direction of travel on the field, the owners continue to display long-term financial commitment.
