Not the first time a flare has been thrown off level 7. I've seen plenty come down from that away section in recent years. The club needs to protect the fans in L4. Often sitting ducks @NUFC
Crazy night at the @NUFC match. I was hit by a blue flare thrown by an Everton fan sitting in the stands high above us. I’m fine but it could have really hurt someone. Big security failure that they were allowed to sneak that in and throw that.
Should be on our knees begging him to come back. Feel sorry for Jaissle, given a rank squad but doesn't have a plan to deal with it. Both managers badly let down by the board who should walk IMO. Wasted so much £.
EH will improve Man Utd ten-fold if he ends up there. #nufc
Got loads of chants, just seem hell bent on singing songs that idolise mercenary players or nicking songs off other clubs. Spent 10 months singing for Tonali when the rest of the team were struggling to get a senior 11 out. Time to go back to the CLUB classics IMO #NUFC
Very reminiscent of the chance he squandered at Villa Park on opening day last season. Hopefully a huge boost to his confidence. Was largely excellent yesterday I thought. They all were. #nufc
Ultras have got to him. And fair play.
🚨 REVEALED: Hojbjerg is assessing his options. However, there’s a strong chance he decides to stay at Marseille, so it doesn’t necessarily mean he’s saying no to #nufc because he wants another transfer.

Some clarity, but also plenty of fluff. Forgive me if I hold my excitement until I see some tangible action from the board:
Spades. In. The. Ground.
Once bitten, twice shy. Time to get on with it, Dave.

There's probably 50 different reasons why Eddie Howe felt he had to leave Newcastle. All of which would have an impact on any manager at any club.
But I think one of the main reasons is that Howe flew too close to the Premier League sun and the powers that be burnt his wings.
At the peak of his powers, he would have felt extreme satisfaction of the job he was doing. He had the club flying after the relegation scare. He'd have felt so ambitious and he (like the rest of us) felt like we were ready to push on and REALLY challenge the "top 6" strangle hold.
Then it fell apart almost overnight.
Not because Howe turned into a bad manager, but because the club was ravaged over and over again.
The DOF leaves, part owners leave, chief scout leaves, another DOF leaves, young prospects sold off, top players sold off, top transfer targets missed, unknown youngsters signed, and delays on new training ground/new stadium ramble on and on.
I know Howe has to take some of the blame for the clubs failings. But it's nowhere near as much as people make out. What he gave to this club should never be underestimated. He could/should have went on to finish what he started, but sadly modern football rules and broken promises seen to that.
I'll miss him so much and we were lucky to have him. I hope he gets his rest and he recharges after a very tough 5 years. I hope he gets the England job, and I hope he does with them what he did for us...
win a trophy. 🏆

The supporters trusts of AVFC, EFC, NUFC, NFFC (and others) ought to join together to put pressure on the PL about this flagrant big 6 corruption. Every month there's something else which is swept under the carpet. Stinks.

Ever since the attempt of 6 clubs to break away and form the super league the Premier League has bent over backwards for them.
Everything is in their favour on and off the pitch and when they fail to follow the rules they are treated differently the rest.
Sick of it.

Eddie,
Thank you for five years of amazing memories, ambition and commitment. Our whole fanbase is so proud to have had you as our manager.
So many unforgettable moments, especially that day in March 2025, when you were the man to do what so many before were unable to. So many greats have tried but you were the one. You gave us the greatest day of our lives and that is something that we will always remember you for.
Of course there are so many more, reaching the 2023 League Cup Final, Champions League nights under the lights at SJP and all of the unbelievable trips around Europe. It has been an amazing journey and we can’t thank you enough for everything.
Hope to see you again soon, once a Geordie always a Geordie!

I remember saying after the Carabao Cup final win, “it won’t get better than that” and I was correct.
Out goes the English manager who’d bleed for the club, and in comes Al Ahlis manager from the Saudi league.
Out goes the old crest and a commercialised badge is on the way.
Out goes the historic St James Park and in comes a souless bowl.
We’ll pine for the Howe era. The same lot calling for Howe to go will be the first to complain next as ever.
I’m really gutted - the Newcastle United I grew up supporting is dead.

Season hasn’t even started yet and Newcastle United have suffered a huge loss. Eddie Howe leaving is a major blow. Must be frustrated about the sales - Gordon, Tonali, probably Bruno - and the lack of direction from upstairs. Gutting for Newcastle fans to lose a manager of Howe’s calibre. Who can they get who is better?
Howe will be in demand. If the FA hadn’t given Tuchel a contract extension, Howe would be a shoe-in for the England job. If he wanted it. Howe is so highly regarded within the game that there will also be clubs watching the situation - and the form of their own team and performance of their own manager. #NUFC

Thanks for everything Eddie you gave us some unforgettable times and i have an awful feeling you are best off out of it,this is one almighty mess 🖤🤍😭 – at Ealing, London
Howe has been shafted from the moment we qualified for CL in 2022/23. I'm glad he's walked. Only so much a man can take. He's never been properly supported by his board who have expected miracles from him time after time. Think he'd stay on as the crown jewels were sold? #nufc
