When I say that women lack the concept of an honorable enemy, this is what I’m talking about.
Obviously a lot of the Democrats’ new vindictiveness is Trump derangement, but the Great Feminization is part of the story, too.
Men understand that the other guy is a professional just like me, and we should have an open fight by fair rules and both go home at the end of the day.
For women, conflict isn’t over until the other side is gone and they never have to talk to them again.
Men believe in hierarchy, so a fight is about establishing dominance within the hierarchy and making the other guy subordinate.
Women don’t, everything is egalitarian and consensus-driven, so if you do get conflict, the only possible outcome is total exclusion from the group.
It makes sense that the Democratic Party is abandoning old-fashioned ideas about honorable conflict as it becomes more dominated by women.

Hilarious how many accounts here have fallen for this disinformation campaign claiming Ukraine vanquished "Russian bots". From the same Russiagate crowd that pontificates endlessly about the dangers disinformation poses against our fragile democracies.

Claims that Ukrainian strikes on Yandex data centres reduced Russia-linked bot networks have spread widely online and were repeated by President Zelensky, but experts have told BBC Verify there is no evidence the attacks have significantly reduced them.

Kashin argues that drones, AI, and commercial electronics have changed the military utility of nuclear weapons. He suggests a high-altitude nuclear detonation could generate an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) to disable an adversary’s forces with limited physical destruction. 🧵
FYI this is not actually a thing. There is very little actual evidence that a high altitude nuclear explosion would produce effects like this.

At the heart of the crisis of the West is the West's intolerance for any and all bids for autonomy.
China? They're stealing our lunch. We have to crush them.
Russia? Autocratic murderers, who much be taught a lesson.
Iran? A terroristic theocracy that must be destroyed.
Houthis? Rag-tag terrorists.
Well, then. Good luck with fighting them all. Don’t complain later when your backside hurts.

The West did throw the baby out with the bathwater. But is that enough to explain the idiocy of the Moderns? I think not. Something deeper has gone wrong.
There is something childlike about the discourse of the Moderns. Surely it is not only motivated reasoning that results in the bullshit we see come out of their mouths like Russia's 'unprovoked' war on Ukraine. Surely they cannot be so ignorant of the provocations? Even if they are ignorant of *every single Russia analyst, including our last CIA director*, surely they they have seen maps of the largest military alliance of the modern period?
And certainly they are disciplined by focus groups and other modern techniques. But that raises the stakes. How can it be that this childlike discourse passes all the filters? That it sells? Just how stupid are the Moderns?
There has been a marked decline in the power of the Western mind. The late 19th century imperialists were self-satisfied high racialists. Moderns are Boasian antiracists seemingly committed to universal human rights etc. But how do the two compare in their powers of comprehension?
Take the problem of understanding the power of the Houthis. A British imperialist from 1890 would have no trouble at all classifying them as 'a martial race'. Even if coded in racialist terms, there was a clear *recognition* of the anthropological variation in the world. They understood that the Gurkhas and the Pathans were not like the Baniyas and the Brahmins. That something distinguished the former from the latter. And that this anthropological variation had *operational significance* to the running of the empire. You could not get the Brahmin to hold the front any more than you get the Gurkha to understand Shakespeare.
Modern Westerners reject out of hand the very idea of systematic anthropological variation. Populations are only distinguished, if they are distinguished at all, by how free (Westernized) and unfree (traditional) they are. You have either thrown off the yoke of tradition and embraced the ideas of the Enlightenment. Or you live under the oppressive weight of misguided traditional ideas like not wanting your daughter to have the right to fuck whoever she wants, whenever she wants.
I do not mean here to suggest that the turn-of-the-century imperialists intuited the discoveries of midcentury social anthropology. Evans-Pritchard only wrote about the Nuer in 1940. I mean instead that the European imperialists *paid attention to the world*, instead of being lost in their own internal world. No doubt they had their own discourse of self-congratulation. But they knew that the world was strange and worthy of attention. That there was something about the world that they did not teach you at Eaton and Harrow, and that you had to learn in the field, so to speak. There was a certain empiricism in their attitude. A curiosity about the world.
To the modern West, there is no outside world worth paying attention to. All that exists is conformity or incongruence with Boasian antiracist universalism, ie the modern Enlightenment. The peoples of the world cannot be distinguished in any interesting way at all. The world is flat in an essential sense.
The Moderns are, strictly speaking, morons by the standards of the late 19th century.
