It's not often that you come out of a conference event questioning your world view. Ted Xiao's talk on how AI can eventually automate loops for everything from component development to metallurgy was one of those. @xiao_ted has incredible clarity on where we actually are today and what's needed to get to the vision of physical general intelligence is quite rare.

@TheHumanoidHub has done a fantastic job of communicating and normalizing the idea of ubiquitous physical general intelligence. Excited to share some perspectives on important physical AI problems and challenges in a post-AGI world!

TPU v7 offers 1.67x perf per dollar when compared to GB200, V8 would likely offer more than 2x. Google capex impact is much higher than any other company

'Human Centric Design' and 'Human Machine interface' could attract the type of creatives which 'Machine Centric Design' and 'Task Machine Interface' never can.

More than 80% of all our neurons are dedicated to the cortical and subcortical motor systems. Less than 5% are used by the language, math and logic centers of the brain. The boring stuff like walking and climbing stairs is incredibly hard to replicate 'artificially'.

To be fair, Codex on auto approve doesn't even ask fir permission.

At a previous company, a systems engineer wrote down a Jacobian matrix on the white board to assess individual risk factors and the room went dead silent. Mathematicians will do quite well in almost any engineering discipline But we also need to talk about how engineers lack basic math skills
People laughing at mathematicians don’t seem to realize that these guys could take basically any other knowledge work job. You’re being snarky towards lions.

Heard @deepakpathak go into the details behind the S1 model and it's genuinely impressive. It seems like 'omni-bodied' generalized robot models will have an advantage because of the data advantage.
Introducing S1, our new foundation model that learns from one example. It can be taught 10-minute long tasks that it has never seen before, from one video prompt without any fine-tuning. Watch S1 operate in real-time via in-context learning:

I think a better metric is revenue per employee, Docusign is at approximately 500k/ employee. Is Zoho close to that number even after a PPP adjustment.?

Quite an interesting experiment, hopefully we get a flash model soon that runs fast enough for near real time operation

I see, so this is effectively open loop. Any disturbances or variations are not accounted for in real time The model 'thinks' once and outputs the desired trajectory, right?

is this in real time? What frequency is the model running at ?

It's still an issue with safety critical applications and no one knows how to verify it for those cases yet.
