It's not that I am deeply ironic, overtly sarcastic, or obtuse, it's just that you don't get it because your minnow like intellect defies rational explanation.

When I met Angela Rayner to campaign for change to overly aggressive council tax debt collection, with its unprecedented rapid escalation to balliffs, she nodded like most politicians do. I explained it was destructive for individuals, councils and the economy. She listened more then said she'd change it. I was sceptical. Yet a consultation was launched within weeks and delightfully the change announced within 18mths (its in place from next April) - bullet train pace for politics. I've a rule that if I campaign for a politician (of any party) to do something, and they do it, I say thank you. Its important to recognise it. So thank you so much Angela Rayner for listening and more importantly acting. The changes coming are a great start.
I promised we'd make council tax fairer, and I’m getting on with the job. Too many working people have seen council tax debt spiral before they had the chance to get help. That's why we're introducing more time to pay, clearer warnings if you miss a payment and more support from councils. Thanks to @MartinSLewis and @mmhpi for their tireless campaigning to make this change happen. Here's everything you need to know ⬇️

"What do you mean it's bad learning design?" Look. I fixed it for kindergarteners with parents helping at home. There's a way to do these things. Just because we as teachers are used to slop doesn't mean we have to insist that it continues.
Being a teacher is hard for a lot of reasons but the fact that this is the average parent doesn’t help

In Australia on an academic exchange program, was instructed to keep the snakes away from the house by opening the back door at 6am and clapping loudly six times while yelling. I complied diligently. A week later, a neighbour informed me I'd been pranked.

Vince Clarke was a control freak, a loner, and not very communicative. He left after writing Depeche Mode's debut album. He left again after Yazoo's second album with Alison Moyet. But before meeting Andy Bell and forming Erasure, he had another project: ...

As a 50 year old man I find it utterly cringe that my generation calls younger people snowflakes, when they themselves lose their shit at a slight design change to a bottle cap or the packaging on some mince.

It’s killing me - why is no one asking this woman how she would deal with the question of Frenchness or Spanishness given those countries don’t have a multi-national, civic extra identities to hide behind.
'If I was born in Japan I couldn't call myself Japanese.' Suella Braverman tells Tim Shipman that the 'dogma of multiculturalism' is eroding the sense of Englishness, which in turn is having a bad effect on how Britishness is defined. @SuellaBraverman | @ShippersUnbound

The very best player on the original #CM9798 - is this guy - Arnor Gudjohnsen was past his prime upon game start. His regen on the other hand, that comes into play early, is a world beater you'll be able to sign basically to anywhere.

Her local beavers group (kids aged 6-8) asked her to take "Benny the Beaver" to Parliament and get some pictures and videos so they could learn about the place where our laws are made. This is frankly a great idea to help educate young children on a complicated topic.
I love kids. I love stuffed animals. But she is an MP!!! If she were a nursery nurse, this would make sense. How are these our politicians?! These are our leaders!! 🫪🤯

My nickname at school was Quacker after I farted on a wooden seat and it sounded like a duck. When I go back to my old area, people still shout out "Quacker"; I'm 73 and a retired doctor. If I tried to fart now, I'd shit myself.
