At the 3rd Luanda Finance Summit, @AfDB_Group Regional Integration Director @JoyKategekwa underscored the vital role of regional integration through the lens of the Lobito Corridor.
The African Development Fund has approved a US$500 million grant to help de-risk investment in this strategic corridor.
Zambia has also committed 10% of its national resources towards the project — a bold move to unlock regional growth and connectivity.

Today in Malabo, a significant step was taken toward streamlining AfCFTA implementation and strengthening coordination among Regional Economic Communities (RECs) and Business Councils in pursuit of a unified, integrated Africa.
At the 3rd AfCFTA Coordination Meeting, the Secretary-General of the AfCFTA met with the Heads of RECs and Business Councils, following the conclusion of the 6th Senior Officials’ Meeting. The Heads of RECs and Business Support Organisations adopted the report of the preceding meeting and agreed on a road map to guide the coordination of AfCFTA implementation efforts.
