A common theme in the #ASCATL closing session is student employees catching the library bug and becoming full-time employees.
Raise your hand if you got your start in libraries as a student employee.
The next hour is our scheduled "Networking Break" in the Loudermilk Lobby. This is a great opportunity to connect with other conference attendees. Virtual folks, feel free to mingle amongst yourselves and/or discuss the conference here on Twitter using the #ASCATL hashtag.

Day Two of #ASCATL is underway! A quick refresher on the ground rules for those attending in-person at Loudermilk.
Virtual folks, feel free to leave your ringer and notifications on ... that's between you and your coworkers and/or pets.
We're officially starting the sessions, so let's review the basic ground rules:
1. Phones on silent!
2. Please arrive on time.
3. Talk into the mic when asking questions (no matter how loud you think you are).
4. Seriously though, the phone thing. For realsies, y'all!

Day one of #ASCATL is officially 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘴 (see what we did there?) ... join us for a reception in the lobby from 5:30-7:00pm. We'll provide the beer, wine, and snacks. You provide the you.
This probably goes without saying, but the reception is an in-person only event. That said, if virtual folks want to raise a pint to celebrate the end of a great first day of #ASCATL from afar, we support that decision. 🍻🥂
