The APPG on Adult Social Care was pleased to host a joint parliamentary roundtable with the APPG on Migration on the future of the adult social care workforce.
Thank you to all the parliamentarians, care workers, providers, workforce experts and stakeholders who contributed to a thoughtful discussion on workforce challenges, migration policy and the long-term sustainability of the sector.
The evidence and insights shared will help inform a forthcoming joint white paper exploring the challenges facing adult social care and potential policy solutions.

The APPG for Adult Social Care has written to Baroness Casey ahead of the Casey Commission, sharing priorities shaped by people who draw on care, carers and providers.
Key themes include co-production, fair commissioning, workforce support and a more integrated, prevention-focused system.
The APPG on Adult Social Care was pleased to attend the parliamentary launch of the Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE) report ‘Towards a National Care Service: Raising National Standards for Care’. The event heard powerful contributions from Isaac Samuels OBE,
Co-Chair of the National Co-production Advisory Group and member of the APPG’s Lived Experience Group, and Sojan Joseph MP, Chair of the Adult Social Care APPG. Speakers highlighted the importance of national standards, lived experience and high-quality, person-centred care in
adult social care.
Thank you to SCIE for leading this important work and to everyone who joined a constructive and positive discussion in Parliament on the future of adult social care.

Last week, the APPG for Adult Social Care hosted a Parliamentary Reception bringing together carers, people with lived experience, and care providers to speak directly with MPs about building sustainable and empowering social care policy.
We were pleased to be joined by many MPs, including our Chair @SojanJosephMP, Chair of the Carers APPG @AnnaDixonMP, and Minister of State for Health and Social Care @SKinnock.
Our thanks to all who attended, particularly those with lived experience who shared their insights. The APPG remains committed to ensuring these voices shape the future of adult social care policy.

It was great to host an event for the All Party Parliamentary Group on Adult Social Care (@ASCAPPG) yesterday.
Having so many people with lived experience sharing their ideas, perspectives, and personal stories with me was a great privilege.
Last week, the APPG on Adult Social Care held a coffee morning reception!
This was a great opportunity for MPs, carers, as well as those who draw upon care & support to connect. We are grateful to everybody who attended for their valuable contributions
