I’m grateful to receive the endorsement of the @APFAunity.
APFA represents more than 30,000 professional flight attendants across the U.S. who make it possible for us to travel safely. I’m proud to fight for the fair protection of their rights, and the rights of working people across Rhode Island.

Today, CLT paused to honor the lives lost on Sept. 11, 2001, and reflect on a day that forever changed our nation and the aviation industry.
At CLT, with U.S. Airspace closed, approximately 125 aircraft were grounded here and stranded passengers filled the terminal. Amid the uncertainty, Airport employees and partners stepped up to support passengers and one another.
Today’s remembrance honored those we lost, those who responded and the lasting impact of September 11. Read firsthand memories from CLT employees who were here that day: cltairport.com/news

Today, September 11, we pause to honor and remember the 25 Flight Attendants and eight Pilots - our Unionized Sisters and Brothers - who lost their lives 25 years ago.
On that day, they boarded their flights as they did any other day, dedicated to the safety, care and comfort of their passengers. When faced with unimaginable terror, they responded with extraordinary courage and quick thinking. They demonstrated extreme selflessness. They served others until their final moments, and they died as true heroes.
In the face of unthinkable danger, the bravery of those Crew Members led directly to vital intelligence, warning authorities and revealing the true nature of the attacks. Their decisive actions, and the safety protocols born from their supreme sacrifice, laid the foundation for the security measures that protect Flight Crews and Passengers around the world today.
Every flight we take today is safer because of what they endured and fought for in those critical moments.
We pledge to never forget their sacrifice. It is up to each and every one of us to ensure that their contributions to aviation safety, their heroism, and their names live on forever in our hearts and actions.
Read their names today, and consider the sacrifice. #NeverForget

Twenty-five years ago, we suffered unimaginable losses as a nation, a City, and a Department. The world changed.
The FDNY lost 343 of our own that day, and in the decades since, we have continued to lose even more to World Trade Center-related illnesses. Their names, their stories, and their courage are woven into the fabric of the Department and serve as the foundation of the modern FDNY.
We renew the promise we made a quarter of a century ago—one we will keep for generations to come: We will Never Forget.
Watch: The 2026 AFA Honor Guard, alongside @ALPAPilots, @APFAunity, and @AlliedPilots, hold a remembrance ceremony at the National September 11 Pentagon Memorial. We will #NeverForget.

Toxic fume events on commercial planes are becoming more common, exposing passengers, flight attendants, and pilots to fuel, engine exhaust, de-icing fluid, and ozone in cabin air.
These exposures can cause serious health risks.
@RepMaxwellFrost, @RepChrisPappas, @APFAunity, and I are urging the FAA to adopt commonsense cabin air safety standards.

Long Island Rail Road trains don’t move without Teamsters locomotive engineers. 🐴💪
Rail Teamsters from the @BLET are on strike for a fair contract at Long Island Rail Road and picketing major terminals at New York Penn Station, Ronkonkoma, and Jamaica.

Rail Teamsters from the @BLET and their union coalition remain on strike at the MTA-owned Long Island Rail Road.
After more than three years with no raises, LIRR’s union workers, including 500 Teamsters locomotive engineers, will not make any more sacrifices to cover for the MTA’s mismanagement.
It's time to give our members the fair deal they deserve.

Whichever airlines hire Spirit Flight Attendants will be the luckiest airlines in the world. Aviation’s first responders from Spirit are among the best Flight Attendants and people I know. Amazing people. Amazing Flight Attendants. Forever Spirit.
.@FlyingWithSara sent a letter to DOT Sec. Sean Duffy and Acting Sec. of Labor Keith Sonderling laying out clear demands and actions needed to protect Spirit workers: "Spirit Flight Attendants are not just some asset to be written off in this process."
