Happy “Ken Debusscher Day” to all Michigan GCS and their teams. Ken, who was a mentor to many of us, always preached “if you haven’t killed it by August 14th, you’re good... you’ll still lose turf, but it is easier to grow it back”.

To all the golf course superintendents, sports field managers, equipment managers, and groundskeepers. Thank you. When most of the world stopped you pushed on like you always do. Your ability to adapt and overcome any situation does not go unnoticed. Thank you for what you do. – at College Station, TX

Will big box stores be allowed to sell mulch, flowers, and other nonessential items during the pandemic because they are “hardware stores”? Not only is this unfair to every “mom and pop” greenhouse/landscape supply, it is against the intent of the executive order.

1.9M ppl watched this video 2 weeks ago, applauding this 🤡ish behavior. What do the 1.9M ppl think today? I’ll leave you with this: Talent is God-given; be humble. Fame is man-given; be thankful. Conceit is self-given; be careful.

Reflecting on an in-depth conversation I was around yesterday regarding soil chemistry, turf establishment, water quality, & all the moving parts. I wish golfers could understand how much superintendents put into their craft. Way more than growing and mowing. #TheseGuysAreGood
