A few days away in the glorious capital of Scotland has made me realise how much living in a quaint town, as I do, means I miss out on many things...such as a working transport system. Well done Lothian Transport we have used you much. Until next time my Scottish friends.

#GBBO has gone for maximum diversity with minimal baking skills. This is going to be interesting. I predict Nigella going mental at some point and hosing the tent down with an AK47.

How many things does Trump need to break before the American people realise that they are being absolutely played by their President? War in the middle east - lost. Food prices - up. Fuel prices - up. National debt - up. Credibility - lost. Etc etc. You used to be great, USA.

FREE to a good home. This creature. Does nothing useful. Can't fetch a ball. Now too old and slow to catch mice. Does smelly farts. Affection not in his dictionary. Quite cute still.

Why are teenage sons such massive Bellends?

I can hear a cacophony of angry Magpies. Does this signal imminent trouble?

There have been approximately 20,000 election counts in the past 100 years. The only election winners not attending the count are Farage and Bobby Sands (who was in jail). The overwhelming majority of election winners thank the police. Farage chose to lie about the police.

So true... It's even made the bloody news.
I’ve travelled all over the world. I’m fortunate to have done so. When I’m abroad I have had text alerts to risk. Nobody started losing their fucking minds over it. They appreciate the heads up. Honestly, it’s like living in a country with toddlers. Grow the fuck up.

Vote Bin Harvey/Jon Face. Don't let us down now, Clacton.
Count Binface has been unmasked. Inside the bin is a man pledging to serve the people of #Clacton. Turns out he understands how Westminster works.

I wasn’t there, however this guy was: "I’d like to put the record straight, because I was there. People often forget how the Argentine troops were treated after the Falklands War. We treated their wounded, and many would not have survived without the medical care they received. They were fed, and their officers were even allowed to keep their sidearms for their own safety. After facing each other in battle, that wasn’t easy, but it was the right thing to do. They were fed, cared for, and many were transported home on Canberra. We also cleaned up the mess that had been left behind. There was no complaining—we just got on with the job. Many of the Argentine troops were exhausted and relieved to be going home after experiencing the reality of war. They were defeated and demoralised, and many couldn’t even look you in the eye. Many of those young soldiers were more afraid of their own officers and the military junta than they were of us. They had been sent into an impossible situation by leaders who would never share their hardships. The Falklands’ climate and terrain are brutal, and the weather is unforgiving. I saw young men who were hungry, frightened, dirty, wet and cold, longing to be back with their families in Argentina. Many I spoke to, while sharing hot drinks and sweets, told me they never wanted to be there in the first place. So before anyone starts abusing me, my family or my brothers-in-arms, remember this: we were there. We experienced the full cycle of war, and we also witnessed the immense relief of the Falkland Islanders when the invaders finally left. To those in Argentina who still believe the stories told by defeated generals, I’d simply say this: many of us were there, and we know what happened. Don’t confuse propaganda with the reality witnessed by those who fought and those who surrendered. The war is over. Britain won. History cannot be changed. It’s time to stop reliving old arguments and instead focus on building a better future for the people of Argentina rather than making repeated claims over the Falkland Islands. As my grandmother used to say, “Children should be seen and not heard.” Sometimes it’s wiser to listen to those who were actually there. War tests not only courage in battle, but also humanity in victory. I am proud that we showed both. Feel free to share and comment “war is not a political football “ maybe you should try it sometime it’s not advisable Lives broken families destroyed Respect to those lost to war and those who are still fighting a war long ago." Shared as requested. Falklands #FalklandsWar #veterans

There’s something profoundly moving about watching Andy Burnham reach this moment. You can feel the hope, the relief, the belief in people’s voices. Whatever comes next, it’s clear he’s touched something real in this country — a sense that we deserve leadership with heart again.

I've just driven up the M6 and it was gloriously empty. Where is everyone, it's as if there's something on tonight, somewhere?

Nigel Farage v the establishment. Educated at the £30k a year Dulwich College, a trader with Credit Lyonnais. Joined the Conservatives in 1978. Fast forward to last week, where he spent 3 hours dining at Harry’s of Mayfair, the ultra-luxury private members club instead of voting in Parliament. It was revealed this week that his close aide and donor Posh George had been gifting and donating to him. He’s called Posh George for a reason - a financier from a family educated and rubbing shoulders with royalty. His speech yesterday was made at the top of Millbank, the HQ that has been used by Cameron and Blair. Oh, and watch out for photos of him sipping champagne wearing his MCC tie at Lords this week too. And he wants you to believe he’s one of you, Clacton.
