Cuts in NIH research grants will have a lasting negative impact on science and medicine in the U.S. Grants will continue to fund specific research costs, but essential infrastructure like labs, advanced equipment and support staff are crucial for groundbreaking work.
I am truly honored to be able to work at St. Jude. My lab studies particularly lethal pediatric tumors - what makes them so aggressive? Can we disrupt them? In doing so, we aim to build new treatments for these hard to treat diseases. For example: aacrjournals.org/cancerdisco…
