For the second time in days, riot police stormed Building (2) at #JauPrison and assaulted detainees. On the 15th day of the open-ended hunger strike, security forces raided Ward (2) using batons and pepper spray against prisoners demanding the fulfillment of their demands.

@ADHRB calls on @moi_bahrain, @Ombudsman_BH, and @NIHRBH to address the detainees’ legitimate demands after 16 days of hunger strike. Urgent action is needed to end ongoing violations, protect detainees’ rights, and address reports of deteriorating health conditions.

@ADHRB also urges an independent investigation into abuses, holding officials accountable, and adhering to Nelson Mandela Rules, which ban torture and ensure healthcare. It demands tackling overcrowding, respecting religious rights, and launching serious dialogue with strikers.

للمرة الثانية خلال أيام، تعرض أمس مبنى (2) في #سجن_جو لاقتحام قوات الشغب والاعتداء على المعتقلين. ففي اليوم الخامس عشر من الإضراب المفتوح عن الطعام، اقتحمت القوات عنبر (2) مستخدمة الهراوات ورذاذ الفلفل، فيما يواصل 130 معتقلًا إضرابهم لليوم السادس عشر، احتجاجًا على تجاهل مطالبهم.

تدعو @ADHRB وزارة الداخلية @moi_bahrain، و @Ombudsman_BH، و @NIHRBH إلى تحمل المسؤولية المهنية والحقوقية، والاستجابة لمطالب المعتقلين المشروعة بعد 16 يومًا من الإضراب عن الطعام، وما تعرضوا له من معاملة قاسية. والتحرك لوقف الانتهاكات وضمان حقوقهم وإنهاء ظروف الاحتجاز القاسية.

كما تدعو @ADHRB لفتح تحقيق مستقل في الاعتداءات ومساءلة المسؤولين، وتؤكد ضرورة الالتزام بقواعد نيلسون مانديلا لمعاملة السجناء، التي تحظر التعذيب وسوء المعاملة وتكفل الرعاية الصحية. كما تطالب بمعالجة الاكتظاظ، واحترام الحقوق الدينية، وفتح حوار جدي مع المضربين للاستجابة لمطالبهم.
