FYI, AI detected a paragraph from Mary Shelly's Frankenstein as 100% AI. So, write however tf you want and ignore the accisations, the readers will be able to recognise what a writer poured their soul into vs what was written by a word spitting machine.
witchfangs@vvitchfangsOct 10
Fuck AI but also fuck avoiding writing styles for the sake of avoiding an accusation. Write however you write. Don’t use AI. The rest is just screaming into the void.

Perfectionism kills the joy of creating, understanding art technical level isn't bad but it gets to a point where it becomes intoxicating, people become afraid of making mistakes. Make anatomy mistakes, place the shadows wrong, you will enjoy drawing again once you stop caring

A good majority of my fics were written FOR me, BY me. If I don’t reread them what’s the point
dio@diocl420Sep 16

when are people gonna realize that character flaws are different from bad writing?? "This character's too codependent!!" thats the point. "This character's too naïve!!" thats the point. "This character's too ignorant!!" thats the point.

the most nerdy thing you can do is write fanfics because not only you are deep into that specific fandom you are writing for but it also gets you to google and learn new words and synonyms and do research on a bunch of other topics just because you want an accurate fic

Please don't be afraid to comment on old fics 😭 I can't properly express how happy I am to get comments on my older works 🥹 I promise it's not weird, and honestly, radio silence might make us writers feel like our fics aren't that enjoyable. We don't get paid for the little scraps of our soul we weave into these stories for others to enjoy... please know that even a little "This was good 👍" will be so appreciated 🫂🫶🌸🥰

i dont mean to be that person but when i see people talk about fics and i open the fic comments and theres no recent comment i get so... i dont even know whats the word for it i mean i know sometimes the authors see their fic being talked about in passing but +

People need to accept that fanfic is its own genre and there are no rules. It's not a novel or a product to be sold, it's something someone made with love as a hobby and posted for fun. I don't know why we have to shade people who are enjoying writing for not writing perfectly.
