A workshop on “Ethical Conduct by Government Employees” was organized at ACC (Import) Commissionerate on 27.10.2026 as part of Vigilance Awareness Week 2026 programmes. Shri Vishnu Kumar, Additional Director General, DGoV (NZU), the Guest of Honour, presented insightful case studies highlighting how inadvertent errors by officers can lead to vigilance proceedings. Shri Manish Kumar, Chief Commissioner of Customs, Delhi Zone, also graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and shared valuable insights on the importance of ethics and integrity in public service. Shri Dheeraj Rastogi, Principal Commissioner of Customs, ACC (Import), also emphasized the importance of upholding ethical values in government service. The key message was clear: Integrity is not merely about compliance with rules, it is about upholding ethical values in every decision and action.

On the intervening night of 21st/22nd October, 2026, ACC Imports Delhi Customs officers have made another major breakthrough in their ongoing investigation against narcotics trafficking network. In a follow up operation, 23.220 kg of Hydroponic Weed having market value of ₹8.12 crore approx. with street value nearly ₹23 Cr. was recovered and seized from another consignment in Air Cargo shed. The current operation led to the arrest of one more person on 22.10.2026. Further investigation is on. Officers of the ACC Import Commissionerate, Delhi Customs, intercepted a consignment originating from Bangkok at the New Delhi Air Cargo Complex and seized 148.67 kg of Hydroponic Weed, valued at approximately ₹52 crore, with an estimated Indian street value of ₹150 crore. The contraband was ingeniously concealed inside plastic spools containing PU tubes. As part of its ongoing Capacity Enhancement Drive, the ACC Import Commissionerate, New Delhi, conducted a training programme on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) on 10th October, 2026, in collaboration with United & United (IP Attorneys), at Hotel Pride Plaza, Aerocity, New Delhi.The programme was attended by officers of ACC (Import), New Delhi, who gained valuable insights into various aspects of Intellectual Property Rights, further strengthening their professional knowledge and expertise. @cbic_india @Delhicustoms

दिनांक 30.09.2026 को सीमा शुल्क प्रधान आयुक्त कार्यालय, हवाई माल वाहक आयात आयुक्तालय द्वारा स्वच्छता पखवाड़ा के तहत स्वच्छता कर्मचारियों हेतु स्वास्थ्य जांच शिविर का सफल आयोजन किया गया। शिविर का शुभारंभ माननीय मुख्य आयुक्त, सीमा शुल्क, दिल्ली ज़ोन, श्री मनीष कुमार एवं माननीय प्रधान आयुक्त, सीमा शुल्क, हवाई माल वाहक आयात आयुक्तालय, श्री धीरज रस्तोगी के द्वारा किया गया। स्वच्छता कर्मचारियों के साथ में अधिकारियों ने भी अपने स्वास्थ्य की जांच करवाई। कार्यक्रम में हाइजीन संबंधी सामग्री का वितरण, सामान्य स्वास्थ्य जांच, रक्तचाप (BP) और शुगर की जांच बुनियादी स्वास्थ्य स्क्रीनिंग का आयोजन किया गया।

दिनांक 29.09.2026 को सीमा शुल्क प्रधान आयुक्त कार्यालय, हवाई माल वाहक आयात आयुक्तालय में हिंदी पखवाड़ा समापन एवं पुरस्कार वितरण समारोह का आयोजन किया गया। कार्यक्रम के मुख्य अतिथि माननीय प्रधान आयुक्त, सीमा शुल्क, हवाई माल वाहक आयात आयुक्तालय, श्री धीरज रस्तोगी थे, साथ ही वरिष्ठ अधिकारीगण भी उपस्थित थे। कार्यक्रम में विभिन्न प्रतियोगिताओं के विजेताओं को माननीय प्रधान आयुक्त महोदय द्वारा प्रशस्ति पत्र एवं पुरस्कार प्रदान कर सम्मानित किया गया। कार्यक्रम के अंत में माननीय प्रधान आयुक्त महोदय ने सभी अधिकारियों एवं कर्मचारियों को पूरे वर्ष हिंदी में अधिक से अधिक कार्य करते रहने हेतु प्रोत्साहित किया।

दिनांक27.09.2026 को सीमा शुल्क प्रधान आयुक्त कार्यालय, हवाई माल वाहक आयात आयुक्तालय द्वारा स्वच्छता पखवाड़ा के तहत, 'भू-जल वायु ट्रस्ट' के साथ मिलकर 'सिट्रा हाइट्स निवास परिसर',सेक्टर-9 द्वारका में पुनर्चक्रण एवं पुनः उपयोग के उद्देश्य से कपड़े, किताबें, साइकिल और ई-कचरा दान एवं निपटान हेतु एक सफल कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया। यह कार्यक्रम माननीय प्रधान आयुक्त महोदय, श्री धीरज रस्तोगी के सानिध्य में एवं माननीय अपर आयुक्त महोदया सुश्री अनु अग्रवाल के मार्गदर्शन में आयोजित किया गया। कार्यालय के अधिकारियों एवं कर्मचारियों, 'भू-जल वायु ट्रस्ट', तथा परिसर के सभी निवासियों ने इसके सफल आयोजन में अपना पूर्ण सहयोग दिया।

A Permanent Trade Facilitation Committee (PTFC) meeting was held on 27.08.2026, chaired by Pr. Commissioner, Shri Dheeraj Rastogi to deliberate on trade facilitation measures. The meeting brought together different stakeholders including Partner Government Agencies to strengthen coordination, streamline procedures, and promote efficient customs clearance. @cbic_india @Delhicustoms

A high-level delegation from Brazil Customs visited ACC, New Delhi, as part of the Joint Validation Visit under the proposed India–Brazil AEO-MRA. Instances have come to the notice regarding requirement of BIS on import of Air purifiers, including portable air purifiers. As per the Quality Control Orders issued by DPIIT and clarifications issued by BIS, it is clarified that - • Quality Control Order S.O. 4098(E) dated 17.09.2024mandates air purifiers to be compliant with IS 302(Part-1):2008. For small enterprises, the compliance is mandatory w.e.f. 17.03.2025 and for micro enterprises, compliance is mandatory w.e.f. 17.09.2025. The QCO dated 17.09.2024 remains applicable till 18.03.2026. 
• No BIS exemption is available for car air purifiers. 
• IS 302(Part 1):2008 & IS 302(Part 1):2024/IEC 60335-1:2020 run concurrently during the transition period.   • Quality Control Order S.O. 2232(E) dated 19.05.2025 will be effective from 19.03.2026 onwards.   Importers are advised to plan their imports accordingly and apply for BIS licences, if required. @FinMinIndia @cbic_india
