The sad truth is that too many environmental organizations make money suing the federal government.
Unsurprisingly, these organizations are now opposing the bipartisan permitting deal that would make it harder to halt needed energy projects.
Let's debunk their claims. 🧵
This permitting reform deal would mean decisions would be based on verified data and give the states that know their land a lead role.
That's better for wildlife and for ensuring we can build the infrastructure America needs.
It’s time for Congress to ignore the bad-faith actors cashing in on a broken system and to listen to the Americans of all stripes who are coming together behind this historic, bipartisan deal:

While many big green groups attack the bipartisan permitting bill, we firmly back it. Not despite being a conservation org, but because of it.

In July 2024, a bipartisan bill from Sens. Manchin and Barrasso cleared committee 15-4. Then Congress flinched, and it died that December.
The result: two more years of the same broken system while energy prices kept climbing.
Tell your Senator to pass the bipartisan permitting reform package so we can build big, beautiful things in America again.
