Most impressive Orthodox Christian conference lineup I’ve ever seen.
Well done, @OrthodoxEthos!
Excellent to see some of the best clergy like @PatristicNectar, @frjohnwhiteford, Fr. Turbo and @AnaniasFather alongside laity warriors like @JayDyer, @DrDPHarry and @C2Antiquity!

Why are so many young men struggling to find hope, direction, and purpose?
The numbers are hard to ignore:
• Male suicide rates are nearly 4× higher than female rates in the U.S.
• 22% of adults under 50 report frequently feeling lonely or isolated.
• Only 45% of Americans ages 18–34 report being completely financially independent from their parents.
• Only 29% of Americans aged 25–29 were married in 2023, compared with 50% in 1993.
Yet 57% of childless young men say they want children someday.
The desire for purpose, family, responsibility, brotherhood, and meaning hasn't disappeared.
But many young men are struggling to find a clear path toward those things.
We don't need more distraction.
We need purpose. Discipline. Community. Responsibility. Something worth building.
For Christians, that ultimately means orienting our lives toward Christ and the transformation of the whole person.

"The glorious king & martyr
Oswald of Northumbria,
Whose reign, like the transfigured Lord,
Still shines brilliantly upon English shores
Saint Oswald, who raised up the Cross
& vanquished the pagans in battle"
— From the poem "King Oswald's Light" ⬇️
We've been out and about seeing our saints today. One of the most important saints to me in the past year has been St Oswald. Since last October, I've been to every major pilgrimage site associated with him save one: the holy well at Oswestry, where his holy head fell from the ash tree and a healing spring sprang up.
Today, we finally made it there.

Much appreciated if you can share around to NC friends - this deployment is in need of more signups and a few of the candidates being canvassed for are in genuinely competitive races.

A major reason I still hope for an Orthodox vs. Protestant debate between @JayDyer and @douglaswils, which they’ve both indicated to me to be up for.
Since 2021, the statement "On Authority, Order, and Equality within the Godhead" has been included in the CREC's denominational Book of Resources. This document teaches that the Son and Holy Spirit are inferior to God the Father in five major ways:

One of the best and most comprehensive Catechsims that I’ve read so far.
Replying to @blessedmikko
Seriously though, Metr. Panteleimon’s catechism is probably the best modern one written originally in English, practically a minature dogmatic theology. Very precise.

The "pro-life feminists" and the peacetime generals of the pro-life movement are united in one thing:
They do not want YOU to pressure legislators in your RED state to criminalize abortion.
This is not hyperbole. Your pro-life "betters" are saying this verbatim.
They say the culture isn't ready. They say it will be political suicide for conservative legislative efforts in blue states. They say such efforts will further poison American liberals against pro-lifers.
It's true our culture is likely "not ready" for the criminalization of abortion. Our culture is no more ready for that than it was for “gay marriage” in 2015 (Obergefell v. Hodges), for legal porn in 1973 (Miller v. California), or for full-term abortions also in 1973 (Roe v. Wade).
Interesting ha?
Have you noticed how the sexual liberationists and occult feminists never WAIT for the culture to be “ready” for the next iteration or unfolding of their secular faith in the public square?
They create culture and change it according to their whims THROUGH their political engagement. They go all-in and mobilize their relatively small portion of the public who are willing to sacrifice nearly everything on the altar of “orgasms without responsibility.”
They are loud, whiney, radical, and consistent in demanding their "sexual rights." And lawmakers listen to them and give them what they want. And slowly but surely, the culture shifts along the new legislative lines.
They understand and understand well that “statecraft is soulcraft.”
But Elisha replied, "Do not be afraid, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them" (2 Kings 6:16).
The Church in America is the most powerful organism for righteous change. And those "who are with us are more."
As someone who I believe has preached to more Christians on Sunday mornings around America on the issue of saving babies than anyone else, I can tell you that our brothers and sisters in the pews want to see abortion criminalized and little babies given full legal protection.
In fact, they often believe that is what the pro-life movement's largest and most well-known organizations are striving toward. They are SHOCKED when I tell them how most of those organizations are actively working against those attempting to criminalize abortion.
At @whiterose_life and @WRAction - we simply believe that the blood-bought bride of Christ can and should be stirred to action and mobilized toward ending abortion in as many states as we can.
We believe that Christians should be as loud and insistent on righteousness as the Lefties have been on wickedness, regardless of whether "the culture is ready" or not.
Don't listen to the "pro-life feminists" and "peacetime generals" telling Christians to wait for some undetermined amount of time before we start mobilizing and pressuring lawmakers to give the littlest babies legal protection.
This is a self-governing Republic. The time is always right for us to govern ourselves.
Let's be a righteous pain in the rear to our state legislators that the Church of the living God demands that our pre-born neighbors receive the same protections that you and I have.
Further up and Further in!

By Fr. Niculae Constantin:
The arrival of Christ into the world marked a turning point in history, one whose significance is easier to see now than it was at the time.
To understand the full measure of His message, we must remember that it unfolded within a society steeped in slavery, where respect for the human person was fragile at best and, in many cases, simply absent. Society was divided into rigid classes, and the wealthy held such power over the poor that they could dispose of their very lives.
Hatred, war, contempt, raw and animalistic violence — these were ordinary things in that age.
