Did You Know: The reason the sun rises and sets from the same direction in WoW is because early world textures were designed with intentional directional lighting and shadows. So to make sure they were never off, they had the light always come from the same direction!

As a general writing note, I really dislike when people add arbitrary weaknesses because characters "should have them"
Like you said, the best weaknesses are natural consequences of a character's strengths. Tenacity becomes obstinacy. Confidence becomes hubris. Etc, etc

ngl a story about a young boy being involved in a traditionally feminine fantasy setting like witchery and how his mother doesn't approve sounds a lot more interesting to me than whatever this is now
Disney's HEXED started out as a story about a difficult six-year-old boy and his mother, who doesn't realize her child has magical power.
The story evolved into being about a teenage girl who doesn't fully understand who she is, and her mother, who holds deep secrets about her daughter and a world of magic that she wants to protect her from.
