It was a great opportunity to exchange notes on civil society coordination in the sector and explore how our two organizations can learn from and support each other's work across the region.
We look forward to strengthening this relationship and exploring future collaboration.

It is important to show that innovations are not strictly mechanical.
To learn more, we are hosting a webinar where CSOs will learn more about how to showcase their social innovations. Sign up here:
Wednesday, 19 August · 10:00 – 11:30. Video call link: meet.google.com/ndm-csts-ykb
At I4WASH, CSOs will get an opportunity to demonstrate their social innovations. Whether it is a community-managed water point, a locally adapted sanitation model, or a fecal sludge initiative that's survived years in an informal settlement.

Before the forum, we will be having a preparatory webinar to help CSOs walk in ready to hold that ground: how to position your organization, what to bring to the table, and how national resource allocation gets legally bound to reach the people it's supposed to.

Through the Policy Dialogue & Advocacy channel, civil society doesn't sit in the audience; it sits on the panel, applying a rights-based lens: affordability, accessibility, non-discrimination, & structural gender equity. Not superficial metrics. Structural power 🧵
@QuercusGroup
Water & sanitation summits have long centered utilities, financiers, and tech developers, while the CSOs holding actual community trust get left next door. I4WASH 2026 is changing that with a dedicated CSO track across 6 value channels. #I4WASH2026
Across every continent & culture, young people carry the same hopes: to learn, to belong, to build a life of purpose. This #InternationalYouthDay, we celebrate the vast diversity of youth experience and the common aspirations that connect us all.
How are water investments impacting lives in Morogoro, Tanzania? Our partner @ShahidiWaMaji surveyed 1,560 households in Tungi Ward. While connections and response times have improved, challenges like irregular supply and low awareness of reporting channels remain.

To bridge these gaps, the findings were taken directly to MORUWASA in a formal meeting at their headquarters. Welcoming this citizen-led evidence, MORUWASA has outlined both short- and long-term investments to address the issues.

Last week, the @MakueniWaSH Parliament held a community forum at Bonus Market, Mavindini Ward, to present social audit findings on the Athi-Mavindini Water Project, bringing together residents, county officials, and the Parliament in one room. #AfW
The forum surfaced real accountability gaps, low community participation in development forums, poor communication from duty bearers, and delays in project completion. Residents didn't just raise concerns; they made concrete pledges to engage more actively going forward. #AfW
The forum closed with agreed resolutions. The Makueni Youth WASH Parliament will follow up on their actualisation, with support from @KEWASNET . Because accountability doesn't end when the meeting does. #AccountabilityInAction #YouthLedWASHGovernance
We were honoured to host Benaville Nagudi from #DanishPeoplesAid in Makueni County. At the Athi Mavindini Water Project, we witnessed the @MakueniWaSH Parliament translating audit findings into direct community dialogue. Accountability in action.
