Tesla - SpaceX merger
My two cents:
- the cat is out of the bag 🎉
- Elon did perfect communication. He is conflicted, can't intervene. ✅
- the two Special Committees are hard at work. That's how it has to be. Difficult to find the equilibrium. Fight guys, fight for us! 🥷
- the vote is ultra important. To sooth it, the premium has to be right. We only have one go at this. 💰
We are not as far as I hoped, but we are further than this morning.
This will happen, no doubt in my mind. Now for all of us to help fight for this. Will reach out soon with ideas.
Tesla shareholders:
You have ONE JOB that is exceptionally important to Tesla’s future. Existential even. Elon Musk says he thinks a merger between the companies is a good idea. Has he not EARNED the right to vertically integrate these companies to achieve ever greater things?
Help Elon Musk Help You:
Vote in the Annual Meeting AND sign up for the retail voter program to automatically VOTE WITH THE BOARD on all issues including mergers.
If the Board does not think they can get 50% shareholders they will be no merger. The exchange ratio will be fair. Tesla shareholders have the board representing our interests and investment bankers saying every argument you would.
Give the board the undeniable data that Tesla Shareholders support Elon Musk. Full stop.
@TeslaBoomerMama Time for a letter to the Board.
Comment below only if you are for a merger and will make sure to vote.

I think Elon Musk wants a merger, and his opinion should count most. But the process requires board approval, special committees, M&A bankers and lawyers. Therefore a merger is not guaranteed. Investors have to make it clear to Tesla that we want a merger as a JV is insufficient to ensure Tesla’s chip needs are met.
The JV gets the process started to solve Tesla’s chip constraint, but the way it is divvied up now, Tesla is building just the research fab lab and SpaceX is building the Terafab, with many industry players trying to push Tesla out….
Asking for information like on how constraints will be solved and if there is sufficient supply chain deals to enable planned growth is the function of an earnings call. I hope an analyst gets this answers.

Honestly, I know I say this a lot, my team does all the hard work. They are the absolute best! So many you can call out, but I always tell them ‘I work for you, tell me what you need?’ Making great products starts with an idea, then committing everything to it, then GO!

If you want the merger:
- reply to the below post by "merge already" and
- then repost to encourage others.
This is as if we organize a shareholder letter, so only sign if you agree.
Appreciate all your help.

The day before… maybe the months before. When someone builds a mountain, don’t back down. Climb it, and see what happens. What the SpaceX and Tesla teams did tonight shows what throwing doubt to the wind and ego aside can do. Thanks to everyone in the fold, you are all amazing and we stand taller together. Much love team - you know I got your back.

Tesla’s Cybercab appears to have gone through its first public-ride stretch without a reported crash in the latest NHTSA data. Tesla began commercial Cybercab rides on September 3, and NHTSA’s currently posted data through September 15 shows no Cybercab crash report dated during that opening period.
That is an interesting early signal, but it is not a lifetime safety verdict. NHTSA notes that the database only includes reportable incidents and may not capture every event. Would a clean first couple of weeks make you comfortable taking a Cybercab ride, or would you want to see months of data first?

Yes, fasten your seatbelts, we are getting ready for quite a ride.
Tesla confirmed 300 Cybercabs are operating in Austin.
@CernBasher and I came across the parking lot full of brand-new Cybercabs that were the big addition Thursday night.
This little gold car will not only define the future of transportation, with autonomy becoming the default means of getting around, but also accelerate the transition to EVs. It also means the death of ICE.

It’s the middle class who gets the short end of the stick every time. They are too well off to receive the handouts but they are not rich enough to benefit from loopholes.

Our clinical trial participants have now used their Neuralink implants for over 50,000 hours, building one of the largest datasets of intracortical neural activity ever.
We used it to pretrain a foundation model for BCI: self-supervised neural encoders that turn noisy, drifting spikes into stable representations.
Some initial results:
• Decoders that keep working for weeks instead of days. For some users, calibration dropped from 10 min/day to 10 min/week
• Teleporting cursors that jump straight to the intended target
• A new cursor-control record of 11.32 bits per second (exceeding the performance of most able-bodied people)
We’re just getting started. Future directions include pooling data across participants, one-shot (or zero-shot) calibration, and an API for the motor cortex.

The statue of Prometheus is finally finished.
It was cast in Paris, crossed the Atlantic, and was assembled at Starbase. It took us 100 days to go from nothing to this.
People of the West, we have lived through an era devoid of dreams, devoid of destiny.
But the time has come to reclaim our dream of antiquity.
In a few months, we will start building a new city. It will be the most magnificent city in all of history.
After all, the great dream of the West has always been to rebuild Rome.
Come walk beside us in this endeavor. The world is waiting.
