Watching a Tesla drive upside down and then take flight made me think about the founders and leadership teams at Strategy, Strive, Metaplanet, and The Smarter Web Company, and the people working alongside them to turn their ambitions into reality.
Whether it's digital credit, Bitcoin-backed capital structures, flying cars, or landing rockets on platforms in the ocean and catching returning boosters out of the air, these men and women are challenging assumptions about what's possible.
What I admire most is their refusal to accept the Malthusian view that scarcity places fixed limits on human progress, leaving the rest of us to manage those limitations rather than overcome them through ingenuity and hard work.
It takes a special kind of individual to imagine possibilities others dismiss and then have the strength of conviction to put their reputation, resources, and years of work behind making them real.
Progress doesn't happen simply because someone invents something extraordinary. Reusable rockets require engineers, investors, and teams willing to solve problems that have never been solved before. New approaches to financing businesses with Bitcoin require that same commitment, along with the confidence of people willing to put their own capital at risk.
You have to inspire others to believe in the future you're building strongly enough to become part of it.
I choose to surround myself with people who believe tomorrow can be better than today and are willing to do the work to make it happen. Their optimism isn't based on luck or wishful thinking. It's grounded in experience, persistence, and a belief in what people can accomplish when they commit themselves to something worthwhile.
Life is too short to spend it surrounded by people who only see reasons something can't be done. I'd much rather spend mine with those actually doing it.

Anyone hating on the demonstration that Tesla did last night is either jealous, already hates Elon and Tesla, or is a negative person that you can never please.
Some MORE context for you from Andrew that needs bringing to the surface.

No directors participated in the IPO, and any such purchases would have been disclosed.
We all believe this is a very attractive equity proposition, but we have also been very conscious of the minimum free float requirement of over 50%, which we comfortably exceeded at 68.7%. Director participation would have counted against this, as would any individual allocation over £500,000. Put another way, 68.7% of the book comprised allocations of less than £500,000.
Of course, an oversubscribed raise would have been welcome, but successfully raising the funds is a huge achievement in itself and should not be underestimated.
We are extremely grateful to WRAP and our broker for all their hard work in making this possible. It's a significant milestone and a very positive outcome for the company.

This is a proud moment for Smarter Web. Today we announce the results of the institutional offer and retail offer in the MORE IPO, raising £10 million.
I am especially proud that we are listing MORE in London, with the first weekly dividend paid by a London-listed commercial company. We are demonstrating that the UK can lead in financial innovation and that the UK capital markets remain open for business.
We set £10 million as the minimum for the IPO to proceed, and we have achieved that, even with the constraints under UK financial promotion rules on what we could communicate during the offer, and with little traditional media coverage.
Approximately 75% of the investment has come from retail investors and this retail participation is something I am also proud of.
Today we also announced the 3rd update in as many weeks on the Ordinary Shares ATM, raising a total of £4.6m across the 3 weeks.
With the introduction of our Preferred Shares alongside our existing Ordinary Shares, we now have two distinct equities offering investors different ways to participate in the potential future success of Smarter Web. MORE will begin trading on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange on Wednesday.
I know £10 million is at the lower range of what we were targeting, and I won’t pretend otherwise. But perspective matters. The Bitcoin treasury sector is still young, particularly in the UK. This is the first preferred share, from a Bitcoin treasury company, listed on a main market, outside of the US. Institutional investor demand was disappointing, with a number that we thought would participate then deciding not to, but many have said they want to see how it trades and could participate as it grows in size.
We have been here before. Smarter Web started as a public company in April 2025 with a fundraise totalling £2.1 million. We quickly grew to become the largest public company Bitcoin treasury in the UK and today are in the top 30 globally.
I look forward to building on this milestone, growing our business and expanding on the understanding of both SWC and MORE.

It really hits me every time I take a tour of a Tesla factory.
Seeing the scale of it, the beauty, all the tens of thousands of people who are able to make a good living doing something good for the world. It’s a truly wonderful thing.
We can talk about Tesla all day, but seeing those hard working people building autonomous electric vehicles for everyone with their bare hands… it really drives it home for me what this company is all about.
I started covering this company 8 years ago because of all the irrational hatred I saw. Never in my life have I seen such an unequivocally good thing met with so much hatred and resistance. The reasons have changed, but the feeling has only intensified as Tesla has become bigger and more successful. 8 years ago we were told you should hate Tesla because it’s a fraud, or it was going to go bankrupt, or EVs could never be profitable. Now we’re supposed to hate Tesla because of Elon Musk’s tweets, or because he’s become too successful or wealthy, or because we should hate AI.
None of these are good reasons to fight against autonomous electric vehicles that save lives, reduce pollution, and make people smile. When I was growing up we were told that we had to move to electric vehicles, or the world would end, or at least become very hot.
Then someone actually made an electric vehicle, one that’s better than any gas car… and people have been brainwashed into thinking that polluting the air and the atmosphere is morally superior to buying that car. “Deport Elon Musk!” they chant outside the Tesla Diner as Los Angeles endures another 100+ degree heatwave in mid October. What would have been a global warming doomsday scenario 10 years ago is now just their day to day, and they’ve been brainwashed into thinking buying more gas is the answer, as if the oil & gas CEOs are voting for Democrats.
The bears insist, eloquently and confidently, that Cybercab doesn’t matter. Nobody cares about autonomy, or if they do every company will have it. Huh? A car is driving me around with no steering wheels and pedals and you’re trying to convince me this doesn’t matter? I’m sorry, but it’s hard to ignore my own eyes and ears. It’s hard to imagine how this doesn’t change the way we live.
So thank you to all the workers at the factories around the world, sweating to pull the future into the present. Thank you to all of the customers and fans who showed their support, who told their friends and family, who bought the products with their hard earned dollars. Even when peers pressured you, and turned many former fans into haters and naysayers, you’re still here. It wouldn’t be possible without all of you.
What a wonderful gift to the world these factories are. The products they produce, the people they employ, the technology they bring to the masses. I got started covering Tesla because there was a coordinated attempt to kill the company. They fought hard to make sure places like Giga Texas never got built.
And as I stand here today i’m so thankful that they failed, thanks to all of you.

SWC Community:
Friday 9th October 2026…
Another potentially significant date in the history of The Smarter Web Company.
Just 18 months ago, SWC wasn’t even publicly listed.
Since then, we’ve witnessed the Aquis IPO, the extraordinary share price appreciation up from 2.5p, hitting Unicorn billion pound Market cap and then a retrace to circa £227m now. the growth of a substantial Bitcoin treasury to over 2,747 Bitcoin (or over £179m GBP in fiat terms), the move onto the London Stock Exchange Main Market for the Ordinary stock, and now the arrival of MORE preferred stock.
And today, the final day for Retail Investors to participate in the IPO offer for #MORE reaches its conclusion.
14:30 is effectively the deadline for retail investors, when AJ Bell and Interactive have set their submission deadlines for IPO participation. Hargreaves Lansdown are telephone only, so might be similar practically before the official 16:30 deadline.
What strikes me is just how much has happened in such a short space of time.
A UK company that began trading on Aquis at 2.5p in April 2025 is now attempting to establish the UK’s first listed preferred share paying a weekly dividend.
This humble web design company is, in the equally humble words of Andrew Webley, is really “doing OK”.
Today, and next week’s official launch of MORE marks an entirely new chapter in my opinion, and the beginning of something much bigger. Joining the ranks of the US giants of Strategy and Strive as issuers of digital credit, in the form of an offering a weekly dividend paying Pref here in the UK.
From next week, SWC gets that opportunity to demonstrate what it can deliver, with both shares able to raise additional capital at pace.
The good news is that there’s still a short window to go Johnny-5 mode with your AI bot (or your Super Intelligence bot 🤣) to speed read the Prospectus before the 14:30 UK time deadline, to see if you want to allocate any of your portfolio to a potential 11.1% capital appreciation and an effective yield of 13.33% dividend yield with MORE.

There's an entirely new auto market being opened up by FSD.
My wife and I moved into a retirement community last year, and we were joined by my brother and his wife. Our homes are almost next door to each other. Being longtime Tesla owners, we joined the EV group that meets once a month and shares information. I offered to talk about my experience with FSD, and they were excited to hear about it. So I prepared some slides and videos, freely purloined from the great material on X.
The results were pretty astounding. The average monthly meetup usually had, perhaps, a couple of dozen people. Instead, the meeting notice talking about FSD drew a packed house of perhaps a hundred people, and we had to turn people away as the room was full.
Well, that was last quarter's meeting. This quarter's meeting was held last week, to a significantly expanded group. And what did we hear? We heard about a couple that had stopped driving, their car sitting parked because they felt too unsure of themselves to drive. After my presentation, they traded in their vehicle for a Tesla with FSD, and now they are at about 97.5% on FSD and feel that they have been liberated. When I asked "why only 97.5%," they explained that the car lost its way in their underground parking garage (they live in the apartment section of the community). I explained that they could drop a pin on their actual parking spot rather than the address, and that may solve their problem.
What struck me even more than the people who bought new Teslas after the presentation was how many seniors talked about their own FSD experience, and how many of them were achieving mid- to high-90% FSD driving. There was uniform enthusiasm for the product and for what it meant for them in their senior years.
That matters in what is rapidly becoming an aging population.

Companies adding Bitcoin to the balance sheet, with the right capital structure, in my view, have the potential to become some of the most valuable companies in the world.
In the UK, Smarter Web is already the largest public company holding Bitcoin on its balance sheet. Yet we are tiny. We currently hold just 2,747 Bitcoin.
Here are some of the things going through my mind.
If we double our market cap from here, we will comfortably qualify for FTSE-250 inclusion. This is the index, that alongside the FTSE-100, makes up the largest 350 companies in the UK.
Our share price has increased considerably over the last month as investors have woken up to the potential we may offer - but our mNAV is currently only 1.74 using my favourite metric of Fully Diluted EV vs BTC Value. I see well run Bitcoin treasury companies commanding a healthy mNAV premium as the model becomes better understood.
Our leverage ratio is currently 12%, and we have stated our intention to significantly reduce the £19m Coinbase credit facility currently in place. At the same time, we have announced the launch of the IPO of MORE Preferred Shares and published our Prospectus. This gives us the potential to replace, and increase, that leverage with what I believe is a far more attractive form of amplification. I believe permanent capital from preferred equity can provide a fundamentally better capital structure for adding leverage when compared to traditional secured borrowing.
Since we became a public company in April 2025 our total return for investors in our Ordinary Shares has been +3,000%. Put in other words about a 30 x increase. On this note it is important to also say that we have seen, and I believe will continue to see, significant volatility in our Ordinary Shares. Total return is an important metric.
A public company adding Bitcoin to the balance sheet with the right capital structure, the right team, the right market and with laser-focused execution is truly an impressive structure.
It is reasonable to state that there is plenty MORE to come.
