This guy says you need a good home setup to work remote, but I don’t even have a home. I have a MacBook I work on whatever bench or cafe I happen to be nearby.
Remote work however you feel productive. – at South West, England

I'm in same position. Focus on startup. It will change your life and eventually give you more free time to focus on OSS as a main passion rather than the thing you're resentful trying to fit in.

I'm so shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Paul Boisvert, a friend and confidant from the Magento years.
He contributed to my career path in a substantial way. I considered him a friend and a mentor.
You will be missed, Paul.

Is there anyone I know who will be flying to @LaraconEU from Amsterdam on the wednesday? It looks like I will be at Amsterdam airport quite early and have a good wait for the connecting flight!

It is absolutely incredible to realize just how many people do not have any clue what engineers do.
Please take a second to understand that behind that service you love are people, like you who have families, bills and dreams.

Remote work isn't creating a recession.
Going back to the office won't solve the recession.
Learn to gauge productivity by results and outcomes, not time at desks/in meetings. Learn that collaboration doesn't have to involve a physical room.
It's not remote workers at fault.

💻🐘 PHP folks: You still here? I'm working on a PHP 7.4 > 8 upgrade, which requires PHP-DI upgrade, and we've got issues with globally namespaced classes colliding in PHP-DI cache. Can't namespace (CodeIgniter), so can I trick the cache, or statically find global collisions?
