I live in Woodford. Easy, you say - the 42B will get me there in an hour. But it's not the Woodford in Greater Manchester, but the one on the Greater London/Essex boundary. Can it be done? I'll find out tomorrow.

Time to reveal tomorrow's objective. Having just become eligible for my OAP Freedom Pass, which is valid on any 'local' bus in England (as defined by the Transport Act 1985), I'm attempting to travel home from Manchester tomorrow for free. (Channelling my inner @politic_animal)

It was six years ago today, having just got an Oyster 60+ card, that I completed the challenge of visiting within a week the then 668 stations that one could travel to for free.
Six years on my 60+ Oyster has been replaced with a Freedom Pass. I feel a new challenge coming.
