A new video of a Black person being lynched by the police appears on the TL every week

i need you to understand no government in the entire world and for all of history has ever publicly live streamed judicial murder like this before, this is unacceptable and insane, our top officials must literally have psychosis right now, like theyre going crazy, unfit to lead

Similar thing happened for police/prison stuff after 2020. People mobilized around it and then just as quickly called it a waste of time and a distraction from issues that were more ‘practical’ to organize around, said people were virtue signaling, &c.

“Attica was not riot-proof, as its architects claimed. Its gates could be broken, and its guards were neither gods nor masters. They were mere men who bled, cried, and died like any other; this was the proof.”

People have to understand that the everyday violence experienced by Black and brown New Yorkers is embedded in the practice of policing and statecraft. The NYPD is to not only protect property and enforce the existing social order, but the ever expanding police powers exist in the name of protecting particular group "Jewish people" that mean's increased surveillance, harassment, for the rest of us.

Damning proof that Mamdani is, literally, choosing to sic NYPD on anti-Israel protesters. It's his decision, nobody else's!
New: Since early 2026, Mamdani has required the NYPD to seek his office's approval before deploying its Strategic Response Group to do arrests.
While it's a significant oversight for Mamdani to exert, the policy's existence is politically awkward for him. politico.com/news/2026/09/29…
The contributions of militants & theorists are often seen as “Black version” of an original “white idea,” rather than a long, interconnected history of what is called the radical tradition.
This is why Black revolutionary politics remains unread & so profoundly misunderstood.

Malcolm X was able to denounce Zionism, while also supporting the African struggle against Arab racism in Zanzibar. It's not an either-or situation.

“Ho Chi Minh wrote in his memoirs that one of his favorite past times whenever not working or studying in Harlem was listening to African street speakers who displayed daily passion and determination to challenge the African masses to stand up against the system that was dedicated to holding us down. The speakers he indicated he enjoyed hearing the most were Father Devine, Daddy Grace, and several others, but the one he mentioned most consistently was Marcus Mosiah Garvey. “

this is Rebecca Weiner, an NYPD Deputy Commissioner, member of CfR, and a Columbia Univ professor who organized the violent repression on Hind's Hall. She is also the chief of NYPD's Counterterrorism Bureau, which has an office in "Tel Aviv" and is modeled on Unit 8200

Chances are it’ll be an anarchist shaped like a twig wearing an N95 and making zines about madness that actually de-arrests me before any of you, so we can leave all of this projection in the gym locker room where it belongs honestly
It’s insane to think what AOC 2028 will bring to the scale of socialism. At the rate Michael is talking about here, DSA as an org will more than double in the next 2 years and that’s notwithstanding the added potential of her campaign. AOC 2028 has the potential to exponentially grow socialism’s adherents from tens of thousands to tens of MILLIONS in a very short period of time. I’ve begun to realize that this is the source of some of the otherwise boggling reluctance of the non-mass-political wing of socialism. Not everyone is ready for socialist politics to leave the comfort of the margins where we can gatekeep it. Not everyone wants their personal fiefdom to become the politics of millions, just like when people complain that normies found their favorite band and ruined the fandom. We must be willing to give socialism to the masses. This is not a band, socialism represents life or death for our world. This is the essential juncture of our time.
