the organized western left has it all backwards - the righteous rage and passion of the masses is condemned and disavowed and the atomized liberalism of the masses is tailed. Thats how we get uprisings with no political direction and direction with no uprising.
It’s direct action with no theory. Lenin literally wrote about this—without theory, there’s no revolution. The protests are amazing at showing working-class rage, but because they lack a cohesive structural alternative to capitalism, the state just waits them out. It keeps the status quo perfectly intact.
Effectively, there needs to be direct action which is guided by strict political theory and a long-term organisational strategy. This can’t happen if there is no political organisation aiding with this, and I think that’s the ultimate issue.

Sorry to be a buzzkill, but unless and until the unrest is organized into a revolutionary movement, we are likely to witness escalating violence and chaos that will lead to an even more vulgar fascism.
Any serious movement in the imperial core must, at this juncture, articulate an anti-imperialist position, including a commitment to overthrowing a government that enables genocide, kills our children, and perpetuates endless war in our region.

Journalist and VPol contributor Osama AlFarran (@osamaalfarran3 ) reports on the release of 159 Saudi-backed detainees who had surrendered to the Yemeni armed forces, under a general amnesty issued by Yemeni President Mahdi al-Mashat on September 10, according to Saba News Agency.
■ Released detainees said the Saudi-backed authorities had distorted the image of the Sanaa government and Ansar Allah, claiming that many Yemenis fighting for Saudi-backed forces had been deceived and discovered a different reality after their capture.
■ The release follows the freeing of 323 captives in September. The International Committee of the Red Cross confirmed its support for the latest release and the detainees' return home.

You would think the Egyptians learned not to interfere in Yemen decades ago lol
BREAKING: Egypt officially deploys troops to Saudi Arabia to fight Yemen's Houthis, with the National Defense Council approving it, and parliament holding an emergency session this afternoon, per MP Bakry.
It makes Egypt the largest Arab state to commit troops against the Houthis.
Egypt now enters a war against the force controlling Bab el-Mandeb, putting the Suez canal in play.

The term “cartel” now does the same job “terrorist” did after 9/11. Once someone has that label, they can be bombed, kidnapped, or jailed without proof, and the target can be anyone: a fisherman, a farmer, a migrant, or a head of state. But are drug cartels as we imagine them even real?
■ In 2022, Mexican scholar and former journalist Oswaldo Zavala published a book titled "Drug Cartels Do Not Exist." His argument is that the drug trade is real, but the “cartel” as we imagine it is largely an invention of governments. The term “cartel” itself was coined by US officials and the DEA in the 1980s, then adopted by Mexican media.
■ The mythical, sensationalized idea of the "cartel" as a monolithic criminal empire powerful enough to rival the state in reality serves to obscure the US's direct role in global drug trafficking.

Western activists deploy the whole "I've been to the West Bank," the same way that right-wing Christians say, "I've been baptized." Both are really just rhetorical devices people use to grant themselves a kind of mystical, enlightened status without having to prove a damn thing.

Speaking of school shooters, here's Admiral Bradley Cooper, who is personally responsible for murdering 120 children in Minab, probably deliberately after Trump and Hegseth gave him permission to kill the families of "terrorists," a policy both have long championed.
