Over the moon that Jennifer Doudna and Emmanuelle Charpentier were awarded the Nobel in Chemistry for their pioneering CRISPR work. Time since their landmark Jinek et al publication to award is a mere 8 years. 8 years. I was still an undergrad #WomenInSTEM
What a great conversation with Professor Jennifer Doudna this week! Her work has informed much of my zeal for scientific exploration @doudna_lab

The current state of our nation's healthcare system is utterly reprehensible. Props to the art community for taking the matter by brush and actually doing something #MedicalBillArt #whatistheworldcomingto cnn.com/style/article/mschf-…

After a long 9 months of waiting, my @NIH #F31 proposal baby was officially funded! Many thanks to all of my mentors for their time and investment in me. This would not have been possible without the support of my awesome advisor @MarylynRitchie - thank you! #NowOntoScience

Thank you @GeneticsSociety for this tremendous award! So proud to represent @PennGenetics at #ASHG19 with this fabulously intelligent group of scholars. And of course, none of this would have been possible without the mentorship of @MarylynRitchie and @danrader333

A great reminder from a great mentor!
If you are feeling stressed, take a deep breath & focus on 3 small things you are grateful for. A warm cup of coffee, heat of the sun on your back, excitement of your dog when you return home from work. It is physically impossible to feel gratitude and stress at the same time.

This is the first ever image captured of a black hole. Taken over 5 days using eight telescopes around the world, it shows luminous gas swirling around a supermassive black hole at the center of M87, a galaxy 54 million light years away trib.al/aK5AQbk #EHTBlackHole

A couple years ago in central park I saw a lady on her phone looking panicked and I overheard her say “ok what we need to do is run a chi-squared test immediately!” I still think about that emergency chi-squared test
