For those R fans waiting patiently for a version of shinylive.io for R, here is a little sneak preview of the progress we've made recently. This is a screen capture showing an editable R Shiny app, running without a Shiny server, via Shinylive and webR😀 #RStats #wasm

When I started my #PhD in #globalhealth #academia, I wanted to integrate #datascience into my work. At the time, this was unconventional for my department and I hit a lot of road blocks on my way. In the end, I believe I achieved my goal. Doing these things helped.

webR v0.1.0 has just been released! I'm super excited to see what people create by using webR in their own projects 😃. The docs are at docs.r-wasm.org and I've written an introductory blog post talking more about the kind of things webR can do at tidyverse.org/blog/2023/03/w….

I learned so much contributing to {openalexR} and I'm excited to see it on @rOpenSci ! It's become an indispensable tool for my literature reviews and I hope you give it a try too! Many thanks to @trangdata and @massimoaria for reviewing my PRs and entertaining my suggestions 😃

MeSHy but necessary work by @dhimmel. Now you can simply download the json exports. 🎉 #ontology #dag @NLM_NIH github.com/related-sciences/…
Replying to @dhimmel
A bit about the architecture: 1. We start with the RDF exports of MeSH 2. Load these into Python's rdflib 3. Run SPARQL queries to extract tables 4. build nxontology graph and tabular exports Steps 2/3 were challenging, not used to thinking in triples & can be frustrating.

Fascinating to see how to use GPT-3 [ChatGPT's predecessor] to edit a scientific manuscript (adapted from @miltondp 's January preprint, for this @nature article about generative AI and science ) nature.com/articles/d41586-0…
