My take on the latest storm in a teacup in the FOSS world: people really are suckers for drama and like to be played by media outfits that just *love* controversy even when there really isn't much. Truth is irrelevant, drama is what matters ... a bit sad, but ... c'est la vie...

Thoughts and prayers! Obviously!
So when a CEO says they take "full responsibility" for layoffs, what does that mean? Walk of shame? Seppuku? Using their own RSUs that year to cushion the blow? Sundar gets an estimated 60m+ a year in RSU, that'd be 5k per person that's been let go. That'd be responsibility? ;)

The reason why all the bigs are laying off right now at the same time? Flood the labor market so that new hires cost a ton less. I bet they will rehire the same number of people in 2 years at half the cost.

I would develop the following piece of technology: "2 cameras integrated into the side mirrors which will not allow a passenger or driver to open the side doors in the event that a cycle is driving towards the mirrors." This is really enough!

Replying to @agl__
@agl__ do you know why google chrome rmps's are signed with SHA-1? RHEL-9 and Fedora do not validate sha-1 signatures anymore...

I've seen bad code done by hobby, but the worst was always " paid for " and sticking to mvps. Can't disagree more with this take.
might be a nuclear take, but I’d wager more harm is done by devs who love to code & treat their job like a hobby (where they solve fun code puzzles instead of solving their users’ immediate needs) than by devs who do it for the paycheck

Clearly not a lot of familiarity with Finland....
That would've been the Soviet-Finnish war, first of all. Ukraine was part of it. The Soviets lost plenty in that war as well. The Finnish people consider that water under the bridge. They're not so uncivilized &nationalistic, the way a significant number of people in Ukraine are.

Google, where the left server doesn't know what the right server is doing, but they will be eventually consistent ... 20min. later, maybe, after prodding (cal v mail in this case) ...
Had a ton of fun soldering the board and assembling this pedal, and it work great with my bass!
