A ride may seem like a small thing, but without it, a veteran may not be able to get to the care they’ve earned. DAV volunteer drivers help veterans get to and from VA medical appointments when transportation is otherwise difficult to arrange.
It’s a straightforward way to help: you drive, a veteran gets where they need to go, and one more barrier to care is removed. We’re looking for volunteer drivers across New York. If you have time to give, this is one way to look out for fellow veterans in your community.
Learn more about becoming a DAV volunteer driver. Link in bio.

Johnson v. United States Congress
Does the Existing Veterans Benefits Review System Control Even When a Veteran Argues that the Law Passed by Congress is Itself Unconstitutional?
Supreme Court Docket# 25-735
Issue: Whether the Veterans’ Judicial Review Act stripped district courts of the jurisdiction, recognized by this court in Johnson v. Robison, to hear challenges to the constitutionality of acts of Congress affecting Veterans’ benefits.

The Major Richard Star Act is an important piece of legislation and it's imperative that we get it right. There is a clear path forward: the House Discharge Petition includes the full Major Richard Star Act – without cutting veterans benefits. The Take Care of America’s Veterans Act includes a reduced compromise version. Congress should never take benefits away from one group of veterans to pay for another.

BREAKING: Rochester General Hospital in New York hired 82 resident doctors.
80 are foreign workers on H-1B or J-1 visas.
Only 2 are Americans.
98% of the residency slots went to visa workers- mostly from countries with documented USMLE cheating.
Americans got 2 jobs.
