A normal South African experience.
Let me translate:
- “Robots” are traffic lights.
- People coming to your car window asking for money is normal.
- Thinking about having fake phones/rings and ignoring guns because they could be fake is pretty normal.
- Useless police is the norm.
- Stolen items are often out of the country within 24 hours.
- “Just be grateful you’re alive” is a normal response in sunny South Africa.

Sunday School Teacher Appreciation Day
Most Sunday school teachers are neither teachers nor clergy yet they are willing to prepare lessons and lead each week in teaching others.
Remembering that October is Clergy Appreciation Month on the third Sunday we appreciate these folks.
