PERSONAL (NON-BASKETBALL) NEWS: I graduated law school in 2020 during a global pandemic. I then proceeded to struggle on the bar exam, and took it and failed it six times in a span of roughly 4 years while not coming close to passing it in any of those attempts. I practiced under a limited license for two years, which was revoked after my sixth failed attempt. With this said, after a two year hiatus, I sat for the Maryland Bar Exam this past July and I PASSED!!!!!! This journey over the past six years has been incredibly difficult and discouraging but I will look back on this chapter of my life and smile. While this is a major accomplishment for my personal life, let me be an example. An example of perseverance. I took two years off and thought I was done with the bar exam for good. I owed it to myself to take one final crack at it. Don’t EVER let anybody, especially yourself, give up on something you’ve worked so hard for. Moral of the story: You can put anything you put your mind to, even if it feels impossible. I know plenty of people I’ve interacted with in the basketball scene have the desire to make hoops a career, including myself. But whether it’s in basketball or a personal life goal, KEEP GOING! Thank you to my support system in life through this journey and my basketball family. I couldn’t have done it without any of you! 7th time is THE CHARM! Now let’s have ourselves a hoops season!!!!
