Hot take: Elon made Starlink with the sole purpose of mass control. it was never about creating a low cost, high speed service. it was always about having control.

Thank you to the packed house in Houston, Texas. We’re going to win Texas. We’re going to win back Congress. We’re going to finally hold Trump and the oligarchs accountable. Let’s get it done.

Russian terrorists express their thanks to the "resident of Texas." (Elon Musk). This is by no means the first report of this kind to emerge from the "Z-group" recently. According to daily reports from the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the number of destroyed Russian vehicles has fallen by an average of 30–50% since Elon Musk began supporting the Russians by imposing restrictions on Starlink. Musk himself has a strong presence in Texas. When SpaceX imposes speed or usage restrictions on terminals, this is often framed in Russian channels as “service from Texas” or “thanks to the Texans” (or, alternatively, to Musk/SpaceX).

Musk now has a simple choice, be the fall guy, or the star witness in Trump’s impeachment.

Elon Musk sabotaged Western defensive military operations against Putin's Russia. He committed an act of outright treachery. He is a malign force working against the West, and cannot be allowed to wield such vast wealth, power and influence any longer.

The U.S. Congress is planning a bipartisan investigation into the restrictions placed on "Starshield" connectivity for Ukraine. Brian Fitzpatrick, a Republican member of the Intelligence Committee, announced plans to question all involved parties under oath—potentially including Elon Musk himself. Musk personally ordered the throttling of Starlink (or "Starshield") services for the Ukrainian armed forces. Some sources claim that Elon Musk acted on his own initiative and that Trump provided no instructions whatsoever. Other sources—according to information from The Wall Street Journal—suggest, however, that the billionaire did, in fact, coordinate with the Trump administration.

Either the President was lying or Musk was lying, but the decision to slow down satellite speed and access has life or death consequences for Ukraine. This deserves a full investigation by the Senate. Elon Musk should be compelled to testify before Congress and under oath. National security decisions should be made in our national security interests, and not based on the personal whim of an unstable executive.

Elon Musk can lock you out of your Tesla or slow down Starlink like he did for Ukraine. Why would anyone buy anything the guy makes?

This. Understand that, if Elon Musk truly ordered the slowdown of Starshield, a private corporation, SpaceX, acting at the behest of its CEO, effectively dictated aspects of another country's defense operations by restricting a critical service on which its military depends. This seriously compromises the reliability and credibility of American defense companies and certainly makes SpaceX deeply suspect as a defense contractor. The question remains whether the ultimate order came from the White House (as suggested by a separate Reuters report) or whether Musk acted independently. It is clear that this entire episode needs to be investigated, and I strongly urge Congress to return from recess. The matter is too urgent to wait until after November 3. If the WSJ reporting is accurate, this is yet another sordid episode in this administration's record. Should the next administration be Democratic, Elon Musk must be investigated and, if misconduct is established, held accountable. The reliability and trustworthiness of both Musk and SpaceX are now very much in question. Elon Musk ordered the slowdown of a military-grade version of Starlink relied on by Ukraine, U.S. officials and people familiar with the matter said wsj.com/world/ukraine-starli… via @WSJ
