Replying to @jumperapp
@jumperapp sale is almost at the finish line, and one thing worth clearing up for newcomers:
=> Jumper XP ≠ Republic VP.
Jumper XP is tied to the Jumper ecosystem/Jumper Pass. It comes from eligible activity on Jumper and is part of the criteria used for priority in the $JUMP sale — higher XP can mean higher allocation priority.
Republic VP is completely different. VP is earned by completing missions in The Republic and is used within the Republic community allocation process for the $JUMP sale. The Republic has a reserved portion of the sale allocation, but earning VP does NOT guarantee an allocation.
Simple example:
→ Jumper activity → XP
→ Republic missions → VP
So if you're checking your numbers before the sale closes, make sure you're looking at the right scoreboard.

The hidden cost of DeFi tab hopping: rebuilding context at every step.
Imagine swapping ETH, then looking for a USDC yield opportunity.
Before:
Swap → open protocol tabs → compare pools → check the required chain and asset → work out how to deposit.

Trying to wrap my head around Jumper's dust-sweeping feature.
Got maybe ~$40 in random token scraps sitting across 4 chains right now. Every time I've tried to consolidate, bridge fees eat half of it. So sweeping dust across chains sounds useful — but I'm not sure at what threshold it actually beats just leaving it.
For anyone using it in real workflows: do you sweep on a schedule, or only when a chain's gas is dirt cheap? And is there a min USD value below which the route's not worth clicking through?

Newcomers keep mixing these up because both show up around the Jumper campaign. They are not the same balance, and I have not seen either one convert into the other.
Jumper Pass XP
Tracked in Jumper Pass, on your Jumper profile
Earned from Jumper activity: swaps, bridges, Earn, and completed missions
Used for Pass rank and perks inside the Jumper ecosystem

Check it at jumper.xyz/profile
Republic VP
Valor Points, tracked in The Republic app under VP and activity history
Earned from Republic work such as quests, raids, and conquests, and only after the submission is accepted
Used inside Republic: spendable points, campaign rewards, and committed weight if a sale raffle is open
Source: republic.legion.cc/docs/ and republic.legion.cc/docs/proo…
A concrete mix-up: bridging on Jumper can add XP to the Pass. Posting about that bridge for a Republic mission, if approved, adds VP in Republic. Same afternoon, two ledgers. A high Pass level does not show up as VP, and VP spent to join a raid does not lower your Pass XP.

Jumper’s asset-first UX feels simpler: USDC on Arbitrum → ETH on Base. I’d choose the destination first, then verify the network before receiving funds. Goal: simpler multichain DeFi; today: swaps & bridges. Source: jumper.xyz/learn/jumper

I hold about $5,000 of BP. After reading why Jumper built Earn and Portfolio, the real question was whether that bag is just sitting, or capital I can actually deploy and track.
The article’s point matched my screen. A swap is only half the job. About 75% of Jumper users swap and then look for yield, and that used to mean hunting vaults across separate apps. Earn is the other half: a feed of 600+ pools, filtered by holdings and idle assets, with bridge, swap, and deposit collapsed into one flow.
Portfolio is where I then see where the position is and what it is earning, without opening another dashboard.
What does not change: one flow is not zero risk. I still judge the vault before moving BP.
Screenshot is my own portfolio, personal details hidden. BP balance shown is about $5,000.

Tab hopping is the tax you pay after the swap.
You already moved capital. The next question is where it earns. In the old flow that question opens a pile of tabs.
Before — swap, then research a yield:
Swap on an aggregator
New tab: which chain is this asset actually on
New tab: protocol list (Aave, Morpho, a vault dashboard, a points farm)
New tab: pool page — asset, TVL, APR, lockup
New tab: bridge if the pool is elsewhere
Swap again into the deposit asset
Approve, then deposit
Later: explorer + protocol dashboard + portfolio tracker to see what you hold
Jumper’s own write-up says that after a swap, users are back at discovery: dozens of protocols, thousands of vaults and pools. Their data: nearly 75% of Jumper users swap and then deploy into yield. Source: jumper.xyz/learn/why-we-buil…
After — same intent, fewer surfaces:
Swap on Jumper (routes across 60+ chains; they report 2.1M wallets and $30B+ moved)
Earn feed scored against the wallet you already used — holdings, idle assets, chains — or All Markets if you want the full list
One zap: bridge + swap + deposit batched into a single flow, into a pool from the 600+ opportunities they index (day-one set included Aave, Morpho, Lido, Ether.fi, Fluid, and others)
Portfolio in the same app: balances and positions across chains, then rebalance, rotate, or exit without a fresh dashboard hunt
What gets pulled together is not “a better APR.” It is the handoff: discovery, the bridge, the second swap, and the deposit stop being separate products. Portfolio is the part that used to be the second round of tab hopping, after the money was already in.
Not custody. Not a return guarantee. You still pick the pool.

the squid result is why I took the republic seriously this week
per the republic's own brief: every eligible republic participant in the squid sale received an allocation
"eligible" was the part I focused on. for jumper that meant, for me:
- KYC done on legion
- sale application submitted on legion
- all 3 jumper conquest quests finished
- VP committed in the raffle tab before the deadline (oct 2, 13:00 UTC)
why it matters to me: it turned "farm points and hope" into a checklist I could actually finish. squid doesn't guarantee jumper, the jumper pool is a weighted draw, but it showed the eligibility steps are worth doing properly

📦 Unopened Crates
🎁 Mysteries
Crate → Oreが出る
Mystery →
Ore →

Thinking about participating in the @jumperapp sale on @legiondotcc?
You might have noticed- Legion shows Jumper's Ethos score right there, before you commit to anything. So what does the file say?
243 people answered that before there was a ticker...
