Heads up for anyone writing Rust today.
The Rust Security Response Team just disclosed a supply chain attack. The popular arrayref crate was republished to pull in a malicious dependency that downloaded a payload through its build script.
arrayref isn't obscure. If you or your dependencies pulled it recently, you'll want to check now.
The malicious versions to look for:
> arrayref 0.3.10
> internment 0.8.7
> append-only-vec 0.1.9
> proc-macro1, plus typosquats: proc-macro-en, aovine, arone, aronenao, tinymember
All deleted from crates.io, and the maintainer's account is locked. The team believes the author's credentials were compromised rather than the author acting maliciously.

Yesterday we hosted our very first Builders Brunch in the @AvaxTeam1 Discord! 💻🥐
It was great to see builders from different backgrounds come together, share what brought them to @avax, and openly discuss the challenges they’ve faced throughout their Web3 journey, from getting started to deploying their first dApp.
The goal of Builders Brunch is simple: reduce the barrier to entry for building on Avalanche. We’ll continue growing this series both online and in person, creating a welcoming space where builders can learn, ask questions, collaborate, and ship with confidence.
Huge shoutout to @0xdev8 for delivering a fantastic session, and to @cryptochimba and @ToNio87fr for helping us launch this initiative in such a strong way.
This is just the beginning.
