How many of you bake your bread at home?
If you could and do, that does not mean there is no need for a bakery.
(btw, I do)
I'm selling my body.
On September 19th, I'm competing in my first HYROX race in Turkey.
You can advertise your startup on 10 of my muscles:
- Your website is listed on hyrox.marclou.com
- Your logo will be tattooed on my body on race day
- I'll share it on my YouTube and X accounts
Bidding starts at $1,000.
Each takeover doubles the price: $1,000 → $2,000 → $4,000.
If outbid, you’re refunded minus the Stripe fee.
Bidding closes on Thursday the 10th at midnight UTC (in 2 days), so I have enough time to print the winning tattoos.

This is hilarious.
North Korean operatives apply to work at USA tech companies.
To catch (and mess with) them, the interviewer will ask them to says "Kim Jong Un is a fat ugly pig".

The engineering team just hired a new lead developer who came from a major Silicon Valley firm.
He scheduled a 1-on-1 meeting with me to review our core database architecture.
He opened his laptop and pointed out that all of our enterprise user data was routing to a single, monolithic Excel file on a local drive.
He said it was the most horrific thing he had ever seen in his 15-year professional career.
He asked me why a Fortune 500 company was running its entire infrastructure off a spreadsheet from 2014.
I didn't even blink.
I told him we don't use standard relational databases because they're inherently vulnerable to SQL injection.
I explained that our architecture is a proprietary flat-file hyper-matrix.
I said it completely bypasses traditional query language, making it virtually invisible to foreign state hackers.
He stared at me for a long time and said the file was constantly crashing because it had 4 million rows.
I told him the crashes were actually automated micro-reboots designed to clear the cache and maintain system latency.
I used the phrase "kinetic data obfuscation."
He started sweating and asked how we handle concurrent write requests from 50 different sales reps.
I told him we enforce a strict single-thread chronological bottleneck to ensure absolute data purity.
That just means whoever clicks save last overwrites everything everyone else did.
He looked like he was going to have a panic attack right there in the conference room.
He asked if we had any plans to migrate the data to AWS or Azure.
I told him the cloud is just a computer owned by someone else, and I don't surrender corporate sovereignty to third parties.
He resigned the next morning citing irreconcilable technical differences.
I had HR classify his departure as a failure to adapt to our culture.

🚀 I am rebooting Safetyper, a Grammarly alternative that lives in your browser and fixes your grammar mistakes.
With your own key, OpenRouter or Groq (recommended), it is totally free forever, backed by our philosophy: coollabs.io/philosophy
I will add usage based subscription soon and local models with Ollama.

It is far from perfect, but open-source & cool.
(If you use Groq, it is totally free and literally instant.)

one year since fuel had its founder meltdown and i jumped ship.
one full year of oss, no contracts, no gigs, no jobs, no shitcoin money, no op rpgf, no ef grants, no hackathon prizes. just pure oss. shit i wanted to see built.
the money i've received this year came from @buidlguidl / @austingriffith, around 1-2 eth per month, and a one off grant from my dear friend @dcbuilder. and i am beyond grateful for this. thank you 💜
and in fairness, i tried contracting. the few gigs i thought i had lined up either ghosted or asked for something so awful i genuinely couldn't bring myself to build it.
this shits hard. it's real fucking hard. you can be a high caliber dev in one of the most highly valued industries in the world and still bleed a year of runway on principles until you're backed into a corner.
there's infinite opportunity provided you don't care about your externalities but the ethical margin is tighter than anyone here will ever say.
meanwhile chain founders pump shitters on their own chain and fud the ones on the others, corps farm users with a wink and a nudge with a vague implication of a future shitcoin but blacklists anyone who dares trade on that knowledge, devs are pumping unhinged mask off ponzi games and ackchuallying it in dms. remember when they were here for the tech a few weeks ago? fuck these founders, fuck these corps, and fuck these devs.
there's work to do, we are behind schedule, but be aware that anything in the "needs doing" side of the venn diagram that doesn't overlap with the "makes money" side will eat you alive if you don't have the stomach for it.
