Unfortunately, we are being blocked by certain oligarchs in order to maintain their monopolistic chokehold on the Indian people. You can guess who they are … This is a crime against the people of India!
India needs @Starlink 🇮🇳 • 11,256 of India’s listed villages still lacked 4G coverage as of May 2026. • India had 1.093 billion internet subscriptions in March 2026, but only 440.87 million were rural. Rural subscription density was 48.31 per 100 people, compared with 126.80 in urban India. • BharatNet had laid over 850,000 route-km of fibre and made about 221,000 Gram Panchayats service-ready. However, its Points of Presence were reported operational at only 80,472 Gram Panchayats in June 2026. • Only 4.26% of India’s internet subscriptions were wired connections in March 2026. Starlink could give underserved communities another route to high-speed broadband. • Starlink has already built 20 gateway sites in India, according to SpaceX Vice President of Starlink Business Operations Lauren Dreyer, speaking at India Mobile Congress today. • Starlink says it has developed India-specific security controls designed to keep Indian user data within India. • Its satellite network could bring high-speed internet to remote villages, mountains and islands where extending fibre or mobile networks is difficult. • Better connectivity could help rural schools access online learning, clinics offer remote consultations and small businesses reach more customers. Starlink already supports education and healthcare in remote communities internationally. • Portable Starlink terminals have supported disaster response around the world. They could give Indian emergency teams backup connectivity when floods, earthquakes or storms damage ground networks. • Direct to Cell could also help ordinary 4G phones connect beyond tower coverage, subject to Indian approvals and mobile operator partnerships. • The government itself identifies difficult terrain, low commercial viability and infrastructure constraints as reasons for remaining coverage gaps. This is exactly where Starlink could help India reach more people. • India should complete the remaining clearances and spectrum allocation so Starlink can begin commercial service. • SpaceX’s Vice President of Starlink Business Operations, Lauren Dreyer, said that Starlink is ready to help achieve Prime Minister Modi’s vision of 100% connectivity across India. She highlighted its potential to connect remote classrooms, support telemedicine and restore connectivity after disasters, adding, “With Starlink, people can get connected within minutes, not years.” India’s hardest-to-reach communities deserve reliable internet too.

Hey @grok, what can you tell me about this professor’s cultural background? I have a suspicion, but statistically I have to be wrong eventually.

India : justice must not only be NOT done, but must also be seen to be NOT done
#BREAKING #SupremeCourt dismisses petition challenging the SC/ST Amendment Act 2018, which restored the stringent provisions of the law. Petitioner contended that the provisions, such as bar on anticipatory bail, amounted to "reverse discrimination." Petitioner contended that the conviction rates were law, and it was prone to misuse. The petitioner also submitted almost Rs 490 crores has been disbursed as compensation. Bench led by CJI Surya Kant refuses to entertain the petition, noting that the 2018 amendmnet was already upheld by the #SupremeCourt in 2020.

This is Kyrgyzstan , world’s 125th largest economy which Modi is visiting. Look at the roads, the air quality, the lane discipline, the 0 pothole movement, the side walks. Now compare it with the capital or any city of world’s 6th largest economy and Vishwaguru and you will realise how badly we have been scammed by our politicians and babus.

There’s a certain Dubey in the news surrounding anti reservation protests. I think he was planted by the govt to first divert attention from the CJP protests, and now has been used to deflate the Reservation protests. Something was very off about this guy from the very beginning.

"If you went to IIT, and then your son also had to go to IIT, you have failed" - heard this at an alumni meet IIT launches a guy once, and his entire next generation reaches escape velocity. The 1985 IIT graduate's kids go to Stanford or Harvard, not Kanpur or Kharagpur. Harvard compounds families. Third-generation admits, names on buildings, legacy as the ultimate flex. Vicious, but the logic holds. IIT is a cut-throat escape ladder for families to jump their social class. If your kid still needs the ladder, your escape didn't stick. It might be the only elite institution where legacy is a quiet embarrassment

Replying to @TheGoodGuysAU
@TheGoodGuysAU your service is absolute shit. Ordered a Dyson Car + Boat vacuum, got “ready for pickup” SMS → drove out, waited 30 mins, then told it’s out of stock. Wasted my time - and I still don’t even know where my order is.

I’ve spent the first 30 years of my life in India, can’t relate. Caste system is very much alive, but this seems to be fake.

Those 500 J-20s are the least of India’s concerns. China has far more advanced military and AI capabilities which effectively mean it’s almost unfair to draw comparisons.
A startling new estimate says China may already have 500 J-20s, more than double previous estimates. If true, India’s already wide stealth gap is now a serious operational alarm bell. My take:

Classic case of treating the symptom instead of disease. Poor pay, bad management … whatever is the underlying cause - fix that.
🚨 INDIA TIGHTENS RESIGNATION RULES FOR ISRO MISSION SCIENTISTS. • More than 100 scientists have left ISRO in the past few years. • The government has now made it harder for senior ISRO scientists to quit. • Scientists working on major missions like Gaganyaan will need Department of Space approval before resigning or taking voluntary retirement. • ISRO says the new rule will help keep experienced scientists, while it also hires 1,000+ new employees and creates 460 senior-level posts.

In India such a person would have faced zero punishment. He would have spent a few percent of his ill gotten wealth to buy his way out.

I call BS. Any freelancing gig would pay much more and can be done fully from home.
Meet Vivek Sharma, a B.Tech Computer Science gold medalist from IIT Bombay, who left a $240,000-a-year (₹2.9 crore) US job to run a small grocery store beneath his house and take care of his parents by staying close to them. Coming from a simple lower-middle-class family in Kanpur, he worked incredibly hard to achieve his dreams. His father was a railway clerk, and his mother gave tuition classes to support the family. Like many Indian parents, they sacrificed everything for their son's education. Their savings were used, jewellery was sold, and every rupee was carefully managed so that Vivek could study in Kota and later get into IIT Bombay. Years later, all those sacrifices seemed worth it. In his final year, Mr. Sharma received a dream job offer from a San Francisco-based startup with a package worth nearly $240,000 per year. Visa sponsorship, relocation, a global career..... everything was ready. Right before joining the US job, tragedy struck. His father suffered a heart attack, and his mother was diagnosed with cancer. He chose to sacrifice his career. Now, he runs a grocery store. He also teaches coding to underprivileged children. Vivek says, "My parents are my biggest company."

A court of law should decide whether or not a person is guilty. Media trials are not the way. Unfortunately, presumption of innocence doesn’t exist in India. One must prove they’re not guilty.
BREAKING- BAIL CANCELLED- India wakes up Thursday morning to the news that Giribala Singh - probably the most reviled person in the country today - will be taken into custody. The former district judge smeared and slandered her daughter in law Twisha Sharma, who was found dead in absolutely suspicious circumstances in Giribala’s house, as her son, a lawyer absconded. Our reporting has established that hours after her daughter in law died Giribala was making phone calls to other judges, to a CCTV technician to take control of CCTV footage of the scene of the crime and even made calls to a beauty parlour Twisha went to on the day of her death to get that CCTV footage. It has been clear from day one that she has been hiding something and worse has been character assassinating her dead daughter in law. The court especially cited her seven injuries, including one on the head - not explained by suicide claims- while cancelling her anticipatory bail. That she was given anticipatory bail is in itself a scandal- she was given this relief even before Twisha’s family was able to register an FIR. Full coverage @themojostory
