Today is Launch Day 🚀
Introducing OldOS — iOS 4 beautifully rebuilt in SwiftUI.
* 🎨 Designed to be as close to pixel-perfect as possible.
*📱 Fully functional, perhaps even usable as a second OS.
* 🗺️ Fully open source for all to learn, modify, and build on.
To celebrate as well, beyond happy to have a new TestFlight link available as well 🥳testflight.apple.com/join/VN…
Couldn't be happier, the latest OldOS update is out, and we have a new app, Voice Memos. Working on this sent me down a bit of a rabbit hole, and long story short, I think it's one of the embodiments of what made Skeuomorphism so special...
In particular, the volume meter to me is a genius piece of design. It’s such a clear example of the core tenant of Skeuomorphism: “how can we bring the real world into our our software?" At the same time though, there's something uniquely "fun" about it.
You all are amazing, we're already at the point where we need a new TestFlight. Great news though, for those who weren't able to join the first one we have a new one! testflight.apple.com/join/1C…
The latest update to OldOS is here! This is probably the biggest update in years...we now have a working Utilities folder and a brand new app: Compass. The last remaining 3 apps are coming soon. So happy to have this out for everyone to try.
One of my favorite features in OldOS has always been Mail. Both in terms of the complexity of making it work, and in the actual real world usability. The latest update brings it back 🥳, reworking it for 2025 with modern OAuth, and with tons of performance improvements!
Been a while since I’ve said this. Can’t be happier to say it again. New OldOS TestFlight is up!

Where to begin. I think, first and foremost a sorry is in order — college, life, work all got in the way. Long story short, beyond happy to be bringing this back.

This has got to be one of the coolest things I've seen in a long time 🤯. Sketch -> ChatGPT -> Working SwiftUI code in 1 minute.
It has not been talked about enough that you can have multiple timers running on iOS 17. Why is this not the standout feature!?!
