Thoughts on Azuki ... Start-up life is brutal. I’ve been in them before, and I’m in one now. It’s a constant adapt or die mentality. Over time, the company you start with never looks the same as the one you end up with. The hardest part? Saying goodbye to people who’ve been with you since day one. That never gets easier. Hits hardest on those on the inside. Now take that and put it on steroids — that’s NFTs and Web3. Start-ups get a year or two to figure it out. NFTs get a month. Maybe. Azuki’s challenge is unique: trying to move at the speed of web3 while pushing to revolutionize an industry that moves deathly slow — resistant to change. That’s why I think Zagabond has one of the toughest jobs in web3. I don’t envy him. But he's still here. Still building. Still doing what he believes is best for the community. Tbh, what’s best for the community isn’t about keeping the old vibes alive — it’s about making sure we’re still here 5–10 years from now. Not just surviving, but thriving. Yeah, it’s tough seeing the market shift. It’s tough watching NFTs we love move out of the spotlight. But this space is cyclical. It will never be 2021 but it's cyclical. The real challenge is adapting at the right pace. Move too fast, you’re just chasing shiny objects. Move too slow, you’re left behind. In all that chaos, someone has to make decisions — fast. Could you do that? I couldn’t. Nothing but appreciation for what the team’s been doing these past few years. Look around. All the projects that were booming 2-3 years ago? Dead. But we're still here. The start-up life isn't for everyone and that's okay. But if you're here, understand what you're stepping into. LONG LIVE AZUKI ⛩️ - TLDR - Web3 moves fast. Most projects fade. Azuki’s still here.
