A Maricarmen la mató el capitalismo que mata a millones de inquilinas cada año. Sus muertes son el resultado de la propiedad privada y que nuestro sistema de vivienda centra al mercado por encima de las personas.

"And when they said party,
They meant an anti revisionist
Revolutionary communist party
And if you asked them
What truths that party taught,
They said: Marxism-Leninism
Mao Zedong Thought"

under Lula's first terms, neoliberal reforms to pensions passed, unions weakened, social movements like the MST turned more top-down as allies. social programs helped millions escape poverty ā but as consumers and perhaps fickle voters, not as organized workers and fighters

We endorse Nate Adams to represent District 2 on Oaklandās City Council! Nate is a long time DSA member who served comrades as co-chair of @DSAEastBay, stood up to criminal landlords, and seen first hand how the greed of capitalists keeps innocent people hungry and unhoused.
Hot take, i think an NPC vote, an email poll, or a convention vote will all result in an AOC endorsement. If she declares in early 2027 either an NPC vote or email vote is fine, we can always unendorse or reaffirm endorsement at convention if need be.

i think jon ossoff's best strengths came from his lack of interest in attacking his left flank & focusing on trump's corruption & scandals instead. i said he was a dark horse because he's been smart enough to back restrictions on weapons transfers to israel at times regardless of his incredibly conservative voting track record otherwise.
this is part of the reason why many zionist orgs in georgia that masquerade as jewish advocacy orgs have aggressively condemned the jewish senator at times and still dangle their endorsement over mike collins who has literal white nationalists ties.
i just wish people were more truthful about this entire ordeal. the last 48 hr media frenzy is exactly why people don't trust institutions from corporate media to our bought & sold political class. most of these orgs, and plenty in the media will operate like lapdogs for aipac with no care or consideration for nuance, the truth or how the majority feels about anything.
this crisis of credibility for msm has been beneficial for me personally as an independent media personality, but i still naively believe that these institutions are worth preserving and defending at a time when we have no consensus reality.

At this point, the question isn't whether electoral politics bring people into the socialist orbitāthat's just a quantitative way of thinkingābut whether those who are 'brought in' will get organized to become participants in the project of building a renewed mass politics.

Defining "mass politics" as simply electoral participation is not "realism" but rather a capitulation to the underlying dynamics of capitalist democracies, which constantly pulverize mass participation beyond the most narrowly permitted boundaries.

The right uses 'communism' as a pejorative. But what does communism really mean? Ben M tells us in Spadework:
"For us, communism is another name for the democratic self-organization of the vast majority. It is the people in power ā directly."

Honored to be endorsed by @DarializaforNY and @ClaireforNY.
From NYC to Florida, the democratic socialist movement is showing the country that Trump's America is not the only option.
Together we'll abolish ICE, pass Medicare for All, and end US support for genocide.

Cigarette platters (real & candy), custom cocktails, raffle prizes, dancing and DJs are just some of the ways our caucus has enticed attendees to our parties, where we've raised thousands of dollars for the UE strike at Wabtec, UFW members detained by ICE, and other labor battles
