On January 27th we said “until we meet again” to long time official (pic right) James Sharun. He was a long standing official, instructor and mentor to many across the province. Though he may be no longer with us, his spirit and passion for the game will carry on.

On behalf of all officials in the North East we’d like to pass on our deepest condolences to the Jacobs family. Big Jake was a past Provincial RIC but more importantly a friend with a giving spirit and tonight we mourn with the Jacobs family and the entire Officiating community.
The officiating world lost the greatest volunteer and advocate for what we do. Hands down the best, this #ATTABOY is for you Jake!!!
Calling in all our #teamref and #familyinstripes our family member is going for surgery tomorrow so 🙏 for all the kind thoughts well wishes. At request of his daughter, if you can wear purple tomorrow as a show of solidarity that would be appreciated.
An update for everyone, he is out of surgery and is in recovery. Let’s keep our fingers 🤞that they got it. Thanks for all of your support, we’ve been passing it on to the family and they’re very appreciative #teamref

There’s a family memeber of the stripes community that needs you to put him in your thoughts and prayers right now. He is going through a battle and needs all the help he can get. Anything you can do to send him positive energy is needed more than you know. #fuckcancer
