ALT This session is dedicated to learning about the sustainability of the Gordie Howe International Bridge, an ISI Envision Platinum project currently under construction that comprises a 2.5 km long cable-stayed bridge across Windsor to Detroit, the Michigan Interchange, the Canadian Port of Entry, and the United States Port of Entry. The bridge spans 853 m (.53 miles) without piers in the water, which is considered the longest cable-stayed span in North America.

ALT Berryessa Transit Center, Envision Platinum – Assessing Sustainability and Transferring Lessons Learned to Transportation Projects. March 24, 2022 10:30 am – 12:00 pm EST | 7:30 am – 9:00 am PST The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) Berryessa Transit Center earned an Envision Platinum Award for its efforts in improving the overall sustainability and connectivity of the communities in Santa Clara County. This session is dedicated to learning more about the Envision assessment, how the project integrates sustainability through several key features, such as a new multi-modal trail, habitat restoration, green building and infrastructure, and public spaces, as well as advancing environmental justice, creating new jobs, and improving the long-term sustainability of the community. Speakers will also present more about how VTA is transferring lessons learned to their other transportation projects in Silicon Valley.
