We are excited to join @A_Aspuru_Guzik along with @tuckeve @uahikea @zoewool to address the sustainability of new substances using Indigenous STS + environmental justice frameworks 🌎
I am humbled to thank the entire team at @UofT and our partners which include @UBC @VectorInst and many others that made it possible to obtain this support from the government of #Canada to accelerate scientific discovery. As director I will do my best to implement this work.

The recent passage of the PACT Act was a victory for veterans suffering from exposure to toxic burn pits. But we mustn’t forget the Iraqis and Afghans, writes Costs of War contributor @KaliRubaii with @zoewool. medium.com/@burnpitproject/m…

BREAKING: 48K University of Calfornia TAs, postdocs & other student workers just walked off the job. It's the largest strike in the US since 2019. Many UC workers earn < $24k/yr. A PhD student I spoke to said they donate blood plasma to make ends meet. washingtonpost.com/business/…

3rd person today I’ve seen sharing a positive COVID test result who was/is at #2022AAASeattle. Wear your masks BBs (yes, even when presenting), test, stay away if you have symptoms. #AnthroTwitter @AmericanAnthro
Isolating in my hotel room was not how I wanted my #2022AAASeattle to go, but after 2-1/2 years it was finally my turn. So sad to miss seeing authors, colleagues, attendees. But deeply grateful to @CarliHansenUTP for rocking the @utpress booth and taking such good care of me.

Since 2020, #UofT contracted out cleaning in an additional 27 buildings at the St. George campus, cutting good jobs and creating more poverty-wage jobs. Does that sound like "equity, fairness and justice?" #PractiseWhatYouTeach @cupeontario @fairwagesnow @decentworkhlth

Hi @KristenBell, I hear you just made $500 mil selling your company This Saves Lives, which aims to end hunger. Congrats! What orgs or people will you be donating those profits to? Where is your “pretty strong moral compass” pointing you? hollywoodreporter.com/busine…
please contact me immediately and I will put you in touch with my investigator. This has been going on for almost a year. I have NEVER met this harasser. I have NEVER engaged with this harasser. This is my first time publicly acknowledging this person. Please retweet.

ICYMI: I’ve been in Twitter Jail for sharing the official WHO protocol for medication abortion, which Twitter says is “promoting self-harm.” I’m a public health scientist with expertise in medication abortion—and the National Academies have a consensus report on its HIGH safety.
