Azure Entity Linking is retiring. Your entity layer doesn't have to. 🧠
Meet resolve(): Wikidata IDs, multilingual support, your own Knowledge Graph, and the ability to say "I don't know" when evidence is weak.
We just made migration simple. 👇

🤯 GSC math:
sc-domain:example.com → 120K clicks
Same property + URL contains example.com → 128K
The subset is bigger than the whole. 👀
A reminder: Search Console reports aggregated data, not a raw event table. 📊

🚨 Fantastic research from @Similarweb , with @randfish on The Downstream Impact of AI Visibility, showing something that’s critical for marketers to understand:
AI influence can happen without a click, and this is why measuring AI Search impact only through “AI referral traffic” is not enough. The study found that:
* Brands recommended by ChatGPT were 2.5x more likely to receive a visit within the following 7 days vs. competing brands that were not recommended.
* Search was the dominant downstream channel for AI influenced visits:
55.9% of AI-influenced visits came through Search, meaning users often remembered the brand recommended by AI and later searched for it.
* Your branded SERPs are now even more important: If AI-influenced demand is coming back through Search, you need to make sure your branded, brand + product, and brand comparison results are well optimized, protected, and aligned with what users saw in AI answers.
* AI-influenced users engaged more deeply once they reached the site: They viewed almost twice as many pages and spent around twice as long on site compared to non-AI-influenced visitors.
This is the key point: Invisible brands don’t only miss the AI mention but risk losing the downstream visit!
The tricky part is that most of these visits won’t necessarily appear in analytics as “AI traffic”, making AI’s impact easy to underreport. Our current attribution models have a blind spot: AI-influenced demand often arrives through Search and Direct, not through AI referrals.
So, what should marketers do?
✅ Don’t measure AI impact by referral traffic alone
✅ Treat AI visibility as a leading indicator of demand
✅ Protect and optimize your branded SERPs
✅ Connect AI recommendations with later search, traffic, engagement, and conversions
✅ Benchmark AI visibility against competitors, not only in isolation

This is really big news. Google introduced the Open Knowledge Format (OKF) - a standardized way to store information in a directory of markdown files. Makes it really easy to make a digital brain that agents can use.
These files can serve as a living wiki. You can give agents the ability to query them or edit them. They can interlink.
Seems to me this could replace Notion or Obsidian. I can think of so many uses for this.
Google's blog post: cloud.google.com/blog/produc…
An easier to understand explanation is the SPEC.md file:
github.com/GoogleCloudPlatfo…
I gave those two links to Antigravity and asked how we could use it for any of the projects we're working on. It came up with so many ideas. I would imagine Claude Fable 5 would whip up some pretty amazing things based on this system.
Currently creating an OKF library of our pepper garden. It's going to be a fun weekend.

This is exactly why I’m proud #SEOcrate and ontology-led RL for SLM training is getting funded.
When agentic workflows reach this level of token spend, the question is not only model capability.
It is architecture.
We need intelligence that we can afford, trust, and control.

We bet on schema.org several years ago as the canonical data model for our “observed entities” in content.
It’s been a valuable bet since now we offer that as a context layer for AI agents, pre-indexed, and with standards-based entity layer.

The semantic layer is all you need.
🚨 FAQPage markup isn’t dead.
Google killed the snippet.
Not the semantic layer.
Most SEOs are confusing SERP UI with machine-readable meaning.
Schema.org may become the memory layer for AI agents 🤖

There’s a lot of discussion around the Ahrefs AI citations report, but several concepts are getting mixed together.
Schema.org and JSON-LD are not the same thing.

The Ahrefs study tested whether adding JSON-LD markup alone increased AI citations.
That’s very different from saying semantic structure or shared vocabularies do not matter.

Strong advice:
Keep investing in Schema.org.
Shared semantics, entity clarity, and machine readable meaning are becoming more important, not less, in an AI-native web.
