Last Friday, ZIMURA Board Chairperson Mr. Alexio Gwenzi had the distinct honour of participating in an insightful panel discussion hosted by Minister Everton Mlalazi. Centered on the theme "The Business Side of Gospel Music," the session tackled crucial industry topics, including music rights, royalty collection, branding, radio airplay, and digital streaming strategies. The panel featured prominent industry leaders and renowned gospel artists, including Minister Michael Mahendere, Pastor G, Sebastian Magacha, and Shalom Charamba, among others. ZIMURA also extends its heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Kuda Tagwireyi for reaffirming his strong support for Zimbabwe’s gospel music sector. Together, we continue working toward a fair, structured, and sustainable music industry for all artists.

Dumisani Sibanda’s funeral arrangements The memorial service will be held tomorrow, Sunday 4 October, at Nyaradzo Herbert Chitepo at 11:00 AM. After the service, the cortege will proceed to Bulawayo, with a brief stopover in Gweru. Burial will take place on Monday. #RIPDumisaniSibanda #DumisaniSibanda

We are saddened by the passing of Dumisani Sibanda, a dedicated broadcaster whose contribution to Zimbabwe’s radio industry will be remembered. ZIMURA extends its heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, colleagues and the entire ZBC family.

For ZIMURA to distribute royalties from a radio station, we need both payment and records showing the music played by the station.

Following the commencement of the 2026 Broadcasting & General Royalties Distribution on 18 September, members are advised that there is no need to physically visit the ZIMURA offices to update banking details or collect royalties.
