The sad part is Europe is full of some of the smartest and most skilled people in the world our governments just don’t give a fuck about them. Even if u leave to Asia/gulf etc. about 50% of the people u meet there in incubators/doing startups/other cool shit are European. The problem is our system is built to keep enriching old oligarch style conglomerates/families while making it impossible to do any cool things when ur not part of that circle. So all our talent/innovative companies leave to go elsewhere. I wouldn’t be wondering if more than 20-30% of the cracked engineers that made the flying Tesla came from Europe. They just preferred being paid 300k+equity instead of 30k + an imaginary healthcare/pension system. The sad part is the whole system will have to burn down once (deep financial crisis + political 180 degree change as we are already seeing) before it can rebuild itself.
