I've been wanting to start looking into and doing overviews of NFT projects that minted in the past don't seemingly get a lot of attention, even though they put in work and have been building since their mint. The first one I want to cover on a high level is @KPRVERSE, which has a 10k collection that minted in November 2022. What is KPR? Paraphrasing from their dev diaries: KPR is a project that seeks to blend physical and digital through storytelling, events, games, art, and tangible products. They want to create a world where their holders and others can participate in, and also help create. Cool, but what have they accomplished? Quite a bit. Since their mint, KPR has had multiple deliverables. Some of the more interesting ones include: - World building with stories, locations, in-world products, etc. - Physical activations that brought KPR to life through physical products and food as well as experiences like having pop up restaurants based on ones that exist in KPR's world. I've heard these experiences were very fun and immersive. - A long term partnership with renowned chef, Esther Choi, who seems to have had a big hand in the restaurant pop ups as well as other initiatives in KPR. - Citizen Passport - a system that holders can sign up for to earn points based on their holdings and their participation in KPR. It has a really cool graphical layout as well. - And more (check the 1 year post in the Updates section of their website for a full list). It's clear that this team has been working hard and releasing products and experiences that stay true to their vision. What else are they doing? The big thing they have been working on is Ramen Wars. It released today, and it's a web game event. It will bring storytelling, digital collectibles, prizes, and more, while also serving as a proof-of-concept for blending digital and physical experiences together. This is open for everyone to check out (take a look at @KPRVERSE for the announcement). There is also more in the works, including more gamified experiences, more partnerships (with a top tier partnership, which is to be announced in a few weeks), and more events, among other things. It seems there will be more real world IP development going on, which is great to see! My thoughts: KPR has been through a rough market, but this hasn't stopped the team form to creating and delivering. All of what they have released stays true to their overall vision of co-IP and blending physical and digital. It's great to see that the team has a strong vision for what they want their project to be and become, and stay true to it. The team has continued to expand the story behind their world as well. To me this is really important, as it serves as a base for the look and feel of whatever they release, and helps get the community more immersed, involved, and invested in project. Furthermore, the sub-brands they have that come from their world and story are interesting as well. Each one has its own look, feel, and unique branding which are being developed. You see these sub-brands in releases done by the KPR team. The team communicates regularly with its holders on discord and Twitter. They also hold frequent spaces Twitter to discuss various relevant topics and bring on or join other project's spaces as well. Additionally, the updates they post on their website are very in depth and show their dedication to keep the community in the loop and to explain what they have built or are building and why. Overall, the team has delivered on initiatives, and continues to build out their vision, despite challenges they may have experienced. The art, experiences, world building, ip building, and branding are some of the best in this space, in my opinion, and their drive to innovate and attempt to do things not done before, is really exciting as well. I'm looking forward to see what the team releases in the future and how their current experiences play out!
