1899. Williams Fork, northwest Colorado. Look closely. This photo has almost every ingredient of the old West packed into one frame. Rifles. Dogs. Rugged men. A deer hanging beside the cabin. And somehow, a cat sitting off to the side like it owns the place. This hunting party was photographed near Williams Fork, about 10 miles south of present-day Craig, Colorado. At the time, this was still Routt County. Moffat County would not be created until 1911. Northwest Colorado was already becoming famous hunting country. Theodore Roosevelt himself would come to the region just a couple years later, in 1901. But what gets me about this photograph is how normal all of this looks. The deer was not just a trophy. It was dinner. Jerky. Meat for the days ahead. The rifles were not decorations. The dogs were not just pets. The cabin was not a weekend getaway. This was life. And few of us today can really imagine what that meant. There was no quick grocery run. No delivery. No convenience waiting around the corner. You had to provide. You had to work. You had to keep moving forward. And if you wanted dinner.... You might have to go earn it first.

100% of the games are blowouts Roster turnover is like 90% There’s like 5 relevant teams The season doesn’t actually start until the College Football Playoff College football is broken and hard to watch
Seeing a ton of high-major college football stadiums like 60-70% full on Week 1 of the season; that is including the National Champion. What is going on with crowd sizes so far? East, west, north, south, don’t matter. Lotta empty seats!

Officer fired in the direction of the owner and his partner at a fucking doodle. The equivalent of being “attacked” by a rabbit. He needs to be fired, lose his pension and do a decade in prison.

I was so certain Ilia was gonna KO Justin R 1 I barely thought it would be worth watching and the Gaethje loaded glove gate is such horseshit. Your king lost. He got mauled. By a dude who is known to have hammers for hands, is a known dog, it’s known going rounds with him is a bad idea, and who has left several other opponents faces rearranged. Y’all look and sound insane

Modern men see more attractive women in a week on their phone than their grandfather saw in a lifetime. 10,000+ curated faces (minimum); Filtered, angled, half-truths… Your wired pattern recognition doesn’t have the ability to process this; It makes every real woman feel like a downgrade. Most guys know this affects them but they won’t admit it… Our generation either has people that have exited the dating market; Or can’t function within it. Fellas: You don’t have commitment issues, and there’s nothing wrong with you deep down… You have a calibration problem. You’ve trained yourself out of attraction to what’s normal and real; And what’s normal/real is who you were supposed to marry… Anyone born after 1995 has come to blows with this phenomenon. Some have met someone and settled down; Others physically can’t because there’s always something better (this is what their subconscious relays 24/7 with frequent exposure to women they’ll never meet). My best advice is this: Go meet the women geolocated by you… They are in front of you for a reason based on where you live. Put the phone down; Only follow and consume content of people intimately involved in your life. I follow 34 people on instagram (that’s a lot); You should too. Meeting a girl on your phone puts a stain on the relationship from the jump… You’ll never reach full purity and realism. Cold hard truth.

Nobody is required to love your dog. I know I sound like a prick. But stop bringing them in stores. Just last Friday, I stopped in a store and a guy in checkout has his dog and it jumps on me as I walk past them. “Oh he just loves people” they say obliviously. So? I’m having to go to customers and the dog got dirt streaks on the thigh of my pants. And spare me the “if you don’t like it, don’t go in the store” bullshit. If you can’t make it through a store without your dog, it’s not me with the issues. I had a dog. It was a great dog. Best part of our family at times. But I expect NOBODY to have to deal with my occasionally over-excited dog, especially in a public place. I’d never have even thought of bringing a dog (I’ve seen it twice now) in a restaurant. Hell, if a person came over my house who was uncomfortable with it acting up, I’d take him in the other room. And for those with actual service pets? You really should speak up, because the people who don’t have well trained dogs are going to lose you that privilege. *end rant

This is the dumbest thing I’ve read all day. Do you really think doctors don’t tell patients to “exercise and eat a healthy diet?” 🤦🏽‍♂️ The reality is, it’s far easier to adhere to taking a medication once a day than it is to go to the gym / for a walk and change your diet every day. Not to mention the social determinants of health that create barriers to healthy eating and exercise… but clearly this guy doesn’t have the capacity to understand these nuances.
If doctors prescribed diet and exercise as zealously as they prescribe drugs, there would be a lot less chronic disease.
