Gaming tokens are down & fun games won't save them What looked like a promising Q1 for gaming ended up in all attention & capital rotating to memes Everyone looks at TGE to assess sentiment and recent ones have not been good It's pretty disheartening to see real teams with real games have less value than <insert 100s of memes> But its how the industry works: speculation matters and the market doesn't care for gaming atm So is it all over? No, it's going to take a few things to create a shift IMO 1. Memes inevitably becomes too PvP and -EV once newbs get burned (similar to NFTs in 2022) 2. One or two gaming tokens do well, probably off the back of marketing rather than the game (speculation) and managing FDV the token so number go up (DEX listing is good here) 3. We see some people make major wins in gaming, and the price action creates a gaming is back narrative 4. This fuels attention across the broader space, in particular to playing & investing in the gaming 'metagame' (p2e / mints) This could all be hopium But I have faith in the many talented teams & creators that are working to make crypto games work. Just need a bit of time. Believe in something
