You can't predict your next thought. You can only observe it. That's it. That's the liberation of #meditation.
This is hands down the best explanation of meditation I've ever seen 🤯

This lovely Ralph Waldo Emerson quote on friendship has sparked new and curious thoughts: “A friend may well be reckoned the masterpiece of nature." It is as though 'friendship' is some superfluity to core existence. Life survives without it. But is greatly enriched by it.

“The issues the mathematical community now faces are similar to issues other scientific and creative professions - how to make sure that, as AI changes the way work is done, we do not lose sight of *what that work was meant to achieve in the first place*.” terrytao.wordpress.com/2026/…

“People are worried the studio doesn’t need the artist. It’s the artist that doesn’t need the studio.” mic drop. 🦾

I'm guessing we can't be far off shared e-bikes having robotic balance and becoming self-driving, autonomous vehicles that can self-relocate to the next most optimal location based on demand trends. Image: hundreds of lime lights at the Sydney Cricket Ground during an AFL final

What are the best book file formats to use for adding to @Gemini_Notebook? And if all I have is an older scanned PDF from a physical book, will that work, or should I look to convert that into another format?

My (quality of) life would be significantly reduced if you took away even just a few of these items from my daily access.
Just some of the things Israel has banned or heavily restricted in Gaza since 2007: Fresh and frozen meat Hummus paste Coriander Cardamom Chocolate Margarine Glucose Salt Fishing rods Fabrics Sewing machines Food wrappers Fertilisers and pesticides Cement Copper wiring and power cables Power generators Notepads Pens Pencils

Love this. Going to Vietnam soon with the family. Building out a little holiday app for the family: all the things to do and see and catch our memories. Just added something new: THIS!

Is that why every single length you open these days is pretended with Google(.com) before you open it so they’re getting all the traffic. Telling everyone that everything they click on is going through them even when it’s got nothing to do with them?

Outstanding interview. Felt like a 17-min crash course in storytelling, film-making, Greek mythology, Christianity, modern culture, criticism.
Here is my interview with Christopher Nolan: are you a bard for a civilization at dusk?

For my first post, I’m sharing a letter @NVIDIA signed on why open models matter. AI will transform every industry, power every company, and be built by every country. Open models strengthen safety and cybersecurity, accelerate innovation and diffusion, and enable sovereignty. The world needs both frontier closed models and frontier open models. images.nvidia.com/pdf/Open-W…

Star Axis is complete. Fifty years in the making, land artist Charles Ross has finished his monumental observatory on a mesa in New Mexico. A staircase, aligned with Earth's axis, climbs to a open lens that tracks Polaris and the 26,000-year cycle of Earth's gravitational wobble.
