Let’s stop this. Nintendo is the most litigious gaming company of all time. They will sue you for existing. They routinely bully projects into the ground even without the real legal standing to do so and they win because people don’t have money to fight back.

Only if it's the exact same console as Wiiware & VC purchases were tied to the console ID, not an account. Glad I dumped my games. Better dump yours too if you don't want to rent them back later. Trusting access to someone else's server is good way to ensure that happens.

This is exactly what worries me about Game-Key Cards 😕 When the download isn’t available, your “physical game” becomes nothing more than a piece of plastic that can’t even play the game you paid for. I’m sorry, but I just can’t consider that a real physical release. And now we’re seeing a concerning example with Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: Holiday Play Edition on Switch 2. A physical owner reports being unable to download or play the game after inserting their Game-Key Card. The console displays error 2016-0070, while the eShop lists a download size of just 82 MB, compared to around 2 GB for the Switch 1 version. The cause is still unclear, and we don’t know how widespread the issue is. No download. No game. That’s the risk of a format that depends entirely on external downloads. Hopefully GameMill and Nintendo can get this resolved quickly.
